I habe been skiing for about 7 years, Started at Hotham as it was only 2 1/2 hours away. Love Hotham think it's nuts, buller is ok, went to Falls for the first time 2 seasons ago and loved that just as much as Hotham. Just in the process of booking a NZ ski holiday for the end of july this year with the g/f. Staying in Queenstown and having 3 days skiing and 4 days of all the other action adventure stuff.....So keen. Can any1 give me a heads up on the best mountains and runs in NZ??? Cheers Justin

skiing is the shizz my fav sport by far ive dedicated my life to it, second to the vl. ive been to most resorts is oz and a few others. perisher, threadbo, hotham, falls creek. in NZ went to the remarkables and coronett peak, queenstown was great probibly the only good place in NZ. and overseas ive been to whistler/Blackcomb in canada and Mamoth in California. whistler had to best snow and atmosphere by far but the best was Mamoth in cali, it is one big terrain park. jumps, rails, kickers, 60 Feet omg and plently of aussie loving females. going to jindi this season for a few weeks and going back over to canada for christmas. the truth, spend your money on holidays BTW i have a few snowboards for sale in sydney for anyone interested? i love the snow. if i didn't have a full time job, (and a calais turbo), i would be chasing winters. last year was the first season i have missed for about 6 years or something.... i would love to see Canada but Europe looks very nice too oh and i board. i used to ski but only when i was a kid.

no way! that would scratch him. they also salt the roads when its snowing = rust chaos haha yeah Justin spec all the way. just deciding if i should rebuild my engine.... could be good but too much $$$ already haha. also don't know where i would get it done.... can you imagine a vlct in the snow and ice??? you wouldn't get anywhere haha.

haha yeah first hill we got to with a red light we would be both stuck there trying to brass button our ways off the mark lol! Why would you rebuild your motor? Your calais goes the hardest out of any cooler/exhaust vl i've ever been in, it feels so smooth as well, Justin gets jealous when i say this but i always have, it's even smoother than his engine haha Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Done the Canada route over xmas and new years. Done Banff, Sunshine Village, Mt Norquay, Lake Louise, Whistler/Blackcomb. Unreal. Picture perfect snow everywhere - powder for the win!! Did get extremely cold some days/nights... I was staying in Canmore which is a small town nestled in the rockies. Saw the temp drop to -30C.... that is cold. Jaegermeister shots go down so easy after a 5km drunken walk back from the pub at 2am when it is -24C Destroyed my shoulder attempting a full speed run down the World Cup Men's Downhill run at Lake Louise. Ouch. Rotator cuff injuries are not good. I'll be back this year to do it all again! Heres me at LL - check out the runs in the background. Note the drop off on the run behind me. View from the top of the gondola at LL - you can sit there for ages and just stare in awe at the scenery. It is amazing. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

A skier/boarder who has only done the Aussie slopes needs to get over there and experience it. It helps cost wise when you have a mate who lives in the rockies... and his cousin who works on the mountain and hooks you up with VIP passes Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Coronet Peak is the best around Queenstown area. If you are renting a car you should go up to Treble Cone which is about an hour north of Queenstown by Lake Wanaka. If your into freestyle/park riding then Cardrona and Snow Park are good and are halfway between Queenstown and Wanaka

40cm dump on my bday 2 years ago, hopefully the same this year! NZEVLHSV- isnt there a massive gondola going in at treble cone? Its almost cheaper to fly to NZ and ski there than go to vic/nsw here... If only you could stay in the snow in NZ Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

thanks for that, will definatly look into it next year Nugget- Very risky going midjune, the Aus ski season does officially open then but you cant always ski then. Anytime after July 1 is usually ok Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I've been skiing down at Perisher since I was two in 88'.. I was one of those milo kids with no stocks, and staking it constantly..hah I skied for about 10 years, then boarded for 1, skied for 5, boarded for 1, then I bought myself some snow blades, there like short trick skiis, 99cm long. Pretty good fun and really easy to manover. Taught my gf last season, that was fun! ha.. But i'd like to go over to canada, like you blokes said, its awesome! Gotta love the snow.. Here's some happy snaps... I'm 21 this year. I hadn't ever made a snowman, so I thought it was about time, so I made it with my missus.. The lodge snow man! And the Musso!
