It is here that I will step in an tell everyone they are in fact different, the exhaust wheel in the ford version is about 2-3mm smaller than the GT35 garrett. While no big deal, and will help with spool a little, keep this in mind should you ever want to swap the xhaust housing for a generic external gate setup from a traditional GT35, the wheel will be too small for the housing, and is bigger than a GT30 wheel as well. Also keep in mind that they have a 1.06 rear housing, and the wastegate is known to be restrictive and poor at controlling boost. While I'm always 1 for doing things on a budget, a GT30 with 38mm external gate would only set you back around $2100 and be 5 times the setup. 6BOOST

Yeah, but for the sake of saving $500-600, your using a secondhand turbo that has a 1.06 rear housing and no parts are interchangable with anything else. I'd also hazzard a guess because its genuine ford they'd try and rape the sh1t out of you if it ever needed repairing. Only my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the turbo in general, just a few downsides that often people don't think of. 6BOOST
