Guys, all lpg conversions must meet the same emissions on lpg as on petrol.
However a dedicated lpg vehicle gets to remove all petrol vapour capturing and recycling systems (charcole canister ect), however the lpg system for a VL must retain a closed loop system to meet emission levels (eg either a system that is "T"ed into the O2 and tps sensors or an lpg injection system). The normal systems react a lot slower than the injection systems to the engine fueling requirements due to design and thus makes it more Susceptible to backfiring on rapid throttle movements(particularly on turbo LPG systems. with injection systems there is no chance of any backfires as the inlet manifold is never filled with an air fuel mix ready to go bang.Hope this is useful info for you.
lpg bob
even if you get it engineered your going to have to wack stock turbo/manifold, inlet manifold with overboost valve, charcole canister, all fuel vapour lines and intank, stock airbox, your allowed to have intercooler. Belive me i know i have to get my VKT engineered and its a hell of an excersize and its all stock with a rb30et

worst thing i ever did was let my rego run out cost ya ****loads and it sucks balls buying overpriced stock **** like turbos, just 2 make them happy then as soon as you pass engineers you turf all that ****
If you live in NSW, You can Get your car Emissions tested for free, I think in Sydney or canbera, cant remember where, But looked right into it when I was considering a Turbocharged motorcycle engined Lotus super seven clone, 500 kg of vehicle and driver combined, with 350 hp, sequential gearbox and 12,000rpm, Oh yeah !!!!!
