i did this set up back in 1996 and ran a 13.2 on 18psi no cooler and street tyres,
then put a cooler on 22psi and street tyres and ran a 12.5 with avgas not bad for a very very cheap setup

update on my progress.
Fresh VLT motor, stock comp ratio
stock ECU
stock intake + cooler
t3/t4 turbo + 19 PSI
3" exhaust
2 extra n/a injectors
made 248.2 RWKW on 98 octane fuel, no detonation, no leaning out. Will be going to the strip soon to see what 1/4 thats good for. Thinking of going auto instead of manual but we'll see what happens.

Not too shabby, 330RWHP on a grand total of less than $200 of mods (2K if you want to include the turbo, cooler and exhaust). That's 11's territory. Pretty good for something that is 15 years out of date and costs at most 1/10th of what a cheap ecu and set of injectors would cost.

MPH is not backing up that dyno figure?.........
Ive had a mate go 13.0@101 with 155rwkw, Auto....
Good article anyway Alsynon.

No dyno sheet of when it made 205rwkw as I didnt ask for a printout due to being disappointed at the time...but I prefer this anyway, sorry if its alittle hard to read-
and apologies to Alsynon for trashing your tech thread man, I forgot what my point was now...haha.

I can vouch for Emmet's Car (doritoboy) and the work done - he is a mechanic and knows how to squeeze those kw out of a cost effective setup
Heres an idea - what about running STAGED injectors with a similar setup - assuming you can pulse them and increase the pulse rate as the RPM rises.
You can put 6 extra injectors on each of the runners on the N/A Plenum and run them off a common fuel rail. That way you will get much better fuel atomisation and be able to fine tune the setup by using different pulses for different load points against pressure and TPS movement.
N/A injectors are about 200cc, so 40HP per injector, 240HP total fuel flow when open at base fuel pressure (43.5 PSI).
Ive seen a Japanese built supra in person with a similar setup that was producing over 300rwkw running standard ECU and piggy back computer controling the extra injectors. I have some photos of this setup.

I have seen that before on a VL 2 injectors on for each runner, looked and worked well, funny when people try something new either because they wanna be different, just try somehting cause they bored or they are a tightass :P
