whats teh difference between doing a standard build and a high power bottom end? are forgies harder to put in? or is it difficult to take your rods to a shop and get them worked? is it too hard to ask the place you take the block to get bored honed and acid dipped to o ring it? ****ed if i konw....

$1700 your pushing it and doing it cheap.. I had $2200 in machine work and pistons (hypertec) did all the labour myself (minus bore + hone) but constructed the entire motor

Yeah I got a new block too, welded head etc, new lifters, hypertecs with moly rings, bearings etc. Came to 2200 as i said.. Purchased all the head bolts, timing belts, head gasket etc as an extra.

2.5 - 3k is around the right price, no way under 2k for a rebuild and if it was i wouldnt trust the builder add the parts and machining and your over 1700 lol
