nice engine but if that engine is that big an only making 1732 hp lol rb26/30 will be there in no time mate. and if it wasnt for that thing infront of the motor it would be just like any other v8 all its good for is burnouts also minus the 1 infront of the 7.

That engine probably isn't even working hard to make that power and the rb30 will have to be making double the boost as well, a grenade about to go off. Oh and ive yet to see a NA six cylinder run mid sixes at over 200mph. Don't you just love people who slag off V8s. It's funny how they slag them off, yet V8s are used at the pinnacle of motorsport, be it drag racing, F1 or even speed boats.

im with you yellow747 V8's are only good for 1 thing burnouts and its bad enough that they take for ever to get off the line, at least a set of 4,11's would make them a little bit respectable.

Some quick sums 1) it is a 547 Cubic inch motor 2) 1732RWHP is about 2200 - 2300 HP @ flwheel....... That is around 4HP per Cubic Inch 3)If you think an RB30 will make about 12HP per cubic inch and not put its con rods and pistons in the sump......then I want whatever it is your taking The only motors making that kind of HP per cubic inch are Top Fuel motors....... look how long they last 4)The Titan motorsport cars are making about 1600HP with 3.4L motors that is around 7.5 HP per Cubic inch...... 4 or so HP per cubic inch off your 12 hP per cubic inch....... those motors don't go long between major overhauls either........ Cheers Quote: Originally Posted by MRDFCT im with you yellow747 V8's are only good for 1 thing burnouts and its bad enough that they take for ever to get off the line, at least a set of 4,11's would make them a little bit respectable. Cheers in your post bro it doesnt say 1732 rwhp it just says the horsepower theres a bigg diffrence if thats the case i think its virtually impossible for the rb26/30 to get that sought of power at the wheels, but still i think v8s are burnout cars evan though a good rb30 can do the job just as good but v8s are known for burnouts you hardly ever see a fast v8 on the street anymore very rare to much to build an very loud cop bait hence why alot of people are turning to turbos, dont get me wrong i love my 355 strokers and walkys. [QUOTE=Sinister] Quote: Originally Posted by yellow747 how does a turbo sling off the line when they have to sit there and spool up ??? mate what i was getting at was mrdfcts point as v8s need 4.11s to get them moving off the line as turbos sling shot he was talking about street cars not drag cars i have mentioned in my post didn you read it. drag cars its right infront of you turbos take time to come up on boost while v8s just rip an go, but the street cars mrdfct was refering to i had answered as he probably didnt think of that car just came to his v8s are slow. [QUOTE=EAT-30T]I probably should have mentioned that but I guess I thought you'd figure that was RWHP cos the video was on a chassis dyno also bro i was just reading no i havent watched the video yet.
