both of my Manual VL's had clock clusters though i changed it to a tacho dash i thought it looks better and i like to see what my revs are some times manily when i drop it off the line or round corner. but sl and executive vl 5 speeds when clock clusters by factory and both mine wherre factory 5 speed as the compliance plate reads MF5
My 86 SL has a clock dash, but my brother's 88 Exec has one too????
I thought Autos from the Exec onwards, were tacho dashes.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
my factory sl manual n/a has a clock.. i had an auto bt1 (sl base) n/a (factory) that had the tacho/oil pressure/volts setup... interesting. So it's not only a turbo option but a bt1 option as well.
my 86 manual n/a had a big ben clock, replaced it with a calais one. But the tacho recently stopped working though

Berlina onwards. Auto or manual makes no difference.

your right.ive wrecked heaps of vls and unless theve been changed s1 na sl and exec all have poxy analoge clocks.not sure s2 but
SL and Exec had the large clock as standard equipment regardless of engine or gearbox choice. The Tacho/full instrumentation dash was an option for these models so it is possible many of them were ordered with the better dash.
