19-12-06, 18:45 GMT+10#21 thanks man, that panel was tricky to say the least, wasnt so hard it was more just getting it to line up and sit level that was a b!tch but once i got a few spot welds in i could bash it till it sat where i wanted it
just wondering if it would be of benefit to anyone if i did a tech thread on installing tow bar if it hasnt already been done?
cheers

19-12-06, 21:37 GMT+10#22 i was just wondering because i need to weld in a new parcel shelf cos speaker holes for RW and i thought i may aswell do the boot channel too cos its rusted out nearly.
i reckon it would be good to do the tech on the tow bar.
say what nuts to use to spread the load not normal ones and **** like that

20-12-06, 16:57 GMT+10#23 yea man go 2 wreckers or somewhere nearby u and get them 2 cut out the whole parcel shelf and cowel panel as 1, then drill out all your spot welds on your car and zap new 1 in
best off sending it 2 panel beaters tho, i did mine by myself but i got our main beater 2 weld it in as hes really good, also they'll be able 2 get smooth and line up bootlid and sh!t
also helps if your friends with the beaters, do the job for cheaper for ya
hope this helps mate

27-12-06, 18:38 GMT+10#25 well the engine bay is going to be left as is until after the cars complete and on the road for few months then im gonna rip motor and box out, do up engine bay smooth, paint all of the motor, put a 5 speed in and stick everything back in
as for being an apprentice panel beater, its pretty good job, we get some pretty sweet cars come thru the shop, u should look into it if your keen
