11-12-06, 13:02 GMT+10#21 well few things ive changed and made it alot beter new pedders comfort ride shocks and i jacked the arse end up which has helped alot.
also took it to the drags on the weekend ran a few 8 flats n a few high 7.9's 1/8th mile in full street trim just with slicks, on 14 pound boost, it was a 37 degree day aswell, i tried the hard spring in the back right and the soft spring in the back left and it worked a treat launched alot straiter and was alot easier to steet down the track under power espeically snapping 2nd gear.
only mods to car are front mount, head work and cam, still has 3;45 minispool and is a manual on 14 pound, oh and a 044 fuel pump n surge tank, still use a standard t03 and plenum no xf throttle body
il post some pics up.
nuthing like towing a vlt out to the drags with another vlt.

11-12-06, 16:06 GMT+10#22 get some adjustable upper trailing arms, will help with axle tramp and provide more traction, whiteline and noltec/lovells sell them around $200-$250, they work wonders
my pinion/tailshaft flange was hitting the underbody of my VL on launches cutting the chassis out, i got the noltec adjustable upper trailing arms and it stopped the hitting and gave more traction, but i have a tight rebuilt lsd and 4.11 gears

11-12-06, 18:04 GMT+10#24 yes i noticed underneath my tailshaft has left a few new marks on the tunnel, so u get these arms and adjust the pinion down more so it dont hit?
vlnitron haha yeah i even had 1 bloke with a 308 on nos red light on me he was that keen to win haha i still got him buy a few cars over the line, i was the quickest street regersted car out there alday there were a few commies but they were all pullin mid to high 9's, and the tori on nos was running 8.4's so i was happy with the 8 flats alday considering how hot it is.
i just picked up my jspec plenum today so i have all the gear bar computer and injectors.
so now i got
t04b turbo
high rise extractors and external gate.
jspec plenum
044 and surge tank
as i said some injectors and computer and a tune n should see this baby getting some power oh and some 3:89 diff gears i reckon.
it came out lookin pritty good but yeah a few lil mods should get it crackin.
buy the way vlnitron ur car is one sick lookin vl, u should come over to the 1/8th mile track 1 day over here and give it a squirt it's always prepped good, and alot of s.a boys come over and have a squirt

12-12-06, 18:09 GMT+10#33 180 rwkw will be abit slipery uil have to come and stir some of these skyline drivers up in mildura there all soft haha, ive only had a race with 2 there deadly off the line alot more traction than a vl haha.
there was a white r33 at the drags not long ago it was only pulling 9.3's and it was ment to be 200rwkw but i doubt it, all comes down to drivers aswell.

12-12-06, 18:18 GMT+10#34 yer 1st starts to slip strate away so you pull it into 2nd thinkin youl get traction and it just slips more.i couldnt beleave it how its just lights them up when snaping 2nd at 60-70 kms hr.all good fun.would be more fun on more psi and better turbo.suposed to have a forged mtr but not confirmed yet.am comin to mildura at christmas.
