26-11-06, 17:22 GMT+10#21 Evilpet, here is my 2 cents following your advise
When u have a 'group' of ppl having a look at your car ask ur self who is actually buying the car.......i doubt it all 5 ppl in the same group are going to own 1/5th of the car...
Once u have accertained who is interested make sure u take him and only him for a testdrive....
I heard or a case with a WRX where the owner(seller) took a group of guys for a test drive and the guys in the rear pulled a weapon on the poor bugga and stole his car......
I also agree with Boggie, take it to a place of your choosing and ask a few mates....im sure they will be more than willing to tag along
On a final note you should have no probs with asking for a D/L, hell u try going to a car dealer and they photocopy ur licence.

They were court doing someone else's car over the same morning. So yeah i dont really trust anyone these days

22-12-07, 12:37 GMT+10#31 also one for the people saying pro crims will hurt dogs, which is true, my dad used to be a security guard and he had one of those lassie dogs (dont know the actual name lol) thing was sooo ****ing loyal had it since a pup, came home one day from work to find his backyard broken into and his dog stolen , so some ppl dont just take your car

05-04-08, 15:23 GMT+10#36 and a few more bits of advice, dont brag about what security features u have in your car, where you keep it, eg behind locked doors etc, dont brag bout ur mods, big motor etc, dont tell people where you live and if you do alot of internet selling, get a PO box.
If somebody cals to see your car, get their number and tell them you will call back, atleast you will have their number incase something does go wrong and you can get the police to trace who the number belongs to etc.
Even if you ask for a D/L licence over the net, it dosnt necesarily mean that they will always give u a 100% true number...
And, if possible, give your car as many security features and immobilising points you can...do anything to slow them down, THINK LIKE A THEIF!, if YOU CAN GET INTO YOUR CAR WITHOUT THE KEYS THEN ANYBODY WILL! so solve the problem
