Depends where exactly it exits, it is able to exit before the rear wheels aslong as there is no openable windows or doors above it. Or something like that.

Why is a good grain steering wheel defectable?

Coz they shatter/splinter and pierce your chest cavity or skull in an accident....

Does that apply to cars that have them fitted standard? The mighty mazda has a factory wooden steering wheel.... It's worth more than the car. Should sell it to the rotor-heads.

Defect: Major Date: 2 months ago Time: 9am Place: not sure Type of cop: joe blow - Exhaust hitting panhard rod (thats what happens with a 4 inch) - Tyres to be of legal tread(rear tyre pigoen toed) - Key not to be removed from ignition barrel - Exhaust not to exceed 90dBa (was 96 dBa) - Power steering line hitting fan (fark!) - Fuel line not secure - Rear wheels to show movement(had minispool) - Front too low by 13mm - Demisters to work - Reverse light not working - Child anchorage points to be rectified at next inspection All up cost me $1500 to fix all faults!! Then I thought I was untouchable after that! Follow next thread Defect: Major Date: 2 weeks ago Time: 5pm Place: between blanchetown and truro Type of cop: highway patrol (was speeding) Defect: Blow off valve and 18" rims After regency went through it 3 days ago - Tint too dark - Boost solenoid to be removed (funny it was there before?!?) - Turbo timer to be removed - Drivers seat rails move 2mm - Hairline crack near drivers seat rail bout 2 cm - Crank case venting into atmosphere - Parkers to be white not crystal(when do you fu**in use em anyway?) - One bolt supporting tailshaft loose - Front bearings to be tightened - Steering lock to operate Thankgod I can do all this myself and the 18's are engineered now. When will this stop?!? Sure the VL is the most modified and enjoyed car in Australia, but it is also the most defected car in Australia!

Who engineered the 18s and at what cost?

Not cheap. Adelaide Radial Tyres for $420 prob cheaper if you shop around worth it in the long end you get to shove a engineers report in the cops face when he tries to defect you for em

can u basically go there with any 18s and they will engineer them? or are there supporting mods that need to be done?

bascially they take the rear springs out and if it doesn't foul the body or your car isn't overly low at the front then they will pass it no probs. Obviously you need to roll your rear guards if you chose wide tyres like mine the 235s you can also go all out and get 20s if your insane to. Yeah Blink haven't been down that way for awhile not that you can miss the car

Lol telling me to get back on topic lol. Think it was man, looks good. You can basically get anything enginereed right, with a certain amount of money? As long as its not so dodgy Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

engineering wont stop them defecting you. it just means you will be able to get it over the pits much easier than normal. Not to say they wont try to tear you a new one if theyre in a bad mood.
