No you have to shorten the gear stick otherwise it is to tall and looks pooncey....... A shifter from the wreckers will set you back fark all if your worried just keep a spair... I never had a problem with it so

I know how to fix the 6gear problem... the knobs look roughly the same as the vt clubsport ones so all you need to do is either buy the knob or sticker off of the series one vt cluby (must be series one series 2 are 6spd)

Does anyone know the part no. for the boot and gearknob pictured?
I rang Holden and apparently there are 2 6 spd gearboxes that came out on the VZ Monaro. One gearboot was $83 with the knob and the other gearboot was $20 on its own :/
Does anyone know the part no. to the gearboot/knob pictured?
I rang Holden and there were 2 different 6speed gearboxes that came out in the VZ Monaro and both boots and gearknobs were a lot different in price

If you want to shorten it the *cough* "less dodgy way", just buy a momo or the knock off momo "autotechnica" gear knobs from autobarn. They have grub screws in them, so you can fit them off without a thread.

Call it dodgy if you want but a gear stick from an mf5 is worth $10 so who cares how its done
