They were way ahead of there time, with engineering that to this day isnt found on many/any rb30's, The engine bay itself will never be replicated in the way these guys built it. If they would of kept pushing that car i would expect them to have cracked a Low 7 or even a 6s pass with some new age technology in there futuristic machine.

They used to run against Victor Bray, and won quite a few times. The write up in Streetmachine said, that any car up against the 300 had to be producing over 2000hp to beat em. Seen this thing run many times, and believe me this thing was just awesome to watch. Hence the reason I don’t get all excited over people dragging a RB30 when the Sammut Brothers have been there and were in the 7’s many many years ago. Do 7’s with a RB30 10-15 years later, woopy f*ckin do, no matter what kind of drag car body ya strap the RB30 into. Sammut Brothers beat ya to it.

it ran mechainical injection,it was twin turbo with 2 small t3's highly modified,he claimed the turbos back then set them back 10k,after speaking to them about there weathr stations and seeing pics of the car,its no wonder why the car so far far ahead of its time. the car weighed under 1000kg and made 900 odd hp,the rajabs race car makes similar power and runs an 8.3 but in a much heavier car,ill def give them credit cause its due but in a year or 2 im sure there will be more than a handfull of 7 sec vl's being said, you cant compare the sammuts rb30 300zx to a vl tube car cause its like comparing apples to oranges, the aim is to have the fastest vl turbo not the fastest rb30 in a tube car otherwise ill build a 600kg rail with a rb30 and hunt down 6's...fair call?

I dunno rob, look at the technology you have helping u make ur dream a relaity compared to what they have, aftermarket computers and a twin cam head of all things... Sure the budget helps, but they were smart blokes who knew what they were doing.

No......as you would see rails running RB30 then, but I would say 6's would be out of the question for a RB30, hence the reason tube/rail cars arent doing it. And yes, the technology 10-15 years ago, people get excited about 8's in a drag car (fitted with a RB30) of today....your kidding surly Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
