if you are chasing times go auto,
personally id keep it manual and leave it as it left the factory.

if you want an auto, put one in. They're great, nothing wrong with them imo.
both have advantages. People will insult you for dropping an auto in though, mostly because they are dimwits
all depends on what you want.
To be lazy and have a bit more of a cruiser, go very quick in a straight line, and be happier in traffic jams......... then auto
To have a bit more control, save a little bit more petrol, and to have people go 'wow thats rare! nice one man'......... then manual

Autos are better for racing (worked ones) but if ur driving it everyday manuals use heaps less fuel, way less.
I think a heavy manual around a city would be a pain in the ass! but id go manual.

go a full manual auto best of both worlds, and as said keep all the manual stuff for resale

Manuals are good to get the most out of lower powered cars, but with 300kw you have to man handle everyday even when you are in traffic etc.....
I have a Keas stage III 4 spd with a 3200 stally and it's awesome. You can be as lazy as you want but shift manually if you want to race etc. Only bad thing is no track work or drifting if thats your cup of tea. Burnouts are so much cooler but.

If you want go auto. Who cares if people will have a dig at you for converting it, not like its stock in any other way.

If the times matter to you, go auto, but you are going to be sacrificing fun, money and resale value in exchange for that time..

I think most of us would prefer a beefed up auto, but whatever you do don't go hacking away at a genuine 5spd VLCT.

if u love driving manual stick with it
if u hate manual change it
if u want 9's change it coz that might be abit hard to do without spending alot more $$$$$$$$ and that no one in a manual has got the 9 yet
but i still think manual is the best but that is just my opinion
