run with the bonnet popped up (still on the latch but) just pull the bonnet cable and leave it at that. Any air that gets in there the better, and also gives the hot air somewhere to come out from. If you have an open centre dont bother. you'll only get laughed at. You say your parents drive your car, or do you mean you drive your parents car? In all honesty, just drive it. You obviously know very little about cars so dont bother trying to do a skid.

If you have drum brakes on the back, go to the wreckers and get some 13" stockies off a VB 6 cylinder, make sure its a 6 cylinder tho because the 4cylinders have torana stud patern and obviously wont fit. Your gonna need burnout tyres anyway since you wont be driving the car home on your burnout tyres. (well not in a roadworthy state anyway :P). !3's will make it spin really easy.

Never would I enter a burnout comp with an RB30. These engines already have a factory fault with the radiator being too low causing air pockets to be trapped inside the water jackets therefore cracking and warping your head. Make sure you bleed the coolant to remove any air pockets. There are a few ways you can do this. There are 2 bleeder bolts located around the coolant temp sensor which 7/10 times you will snap if you attempt to undo them. 1. Take off the reservoir hose and tape it do the bonnet (because this is a much higher point then the radiator) 2. Get a small funnel and start filling with coolant with the lower bleed nut loose. Once coolant starts pouring out of the bleed nut, tighten it. Do the exact same thing with the top bleed nut. That's probably the best way to do it, but you risk snapping off the bleed bolts after sitting there for 20 years unmoved.

If your parent's drive the car sometimes, the family obviously need's it, so don't bother blowing up your/the family's car for nothing man. Just stick to doing one leggers in front of your mates houses. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

the biggest vl burnouts i have seen on the street have all been n/as... they are just far less temperemental than turbo vl's... if i had a n/a vl again id make it a rad burnout machine

I remember seeing an N/A R31 Skyline at the burnouts and it didn't go too well.

VL Turbo's have alway's ruled supreme when it comes to monster burnouts. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

trbo3ltr is right in that NaCl increases the BP of water but its the pressure its under when it heats up that stops the water in a car boiling. The boiling point of water is increased as it is placed under pressure. So the high pressure in the cooling system is what makes the most difference to boiling point hence when you get a hole or take your cap off when its hot the water boils because the pressure has dropped. Works the other way to - the lower the pressure the lower the boiling point so when those mountain climbing guys get up top and make a cuppa their billy water boils at less then 100 degrees. NOTE: I don't actually know if they use a billy or not. And I don't know anyone that would take the temperature of their cuppa at the top of a mountain anyway. That stuff about the radiator was right though Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Maybe you forgot the bit about salt+water and the rate of corrosion. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

A NA VL singgle spiiner can do a reasonable donut if the steering wheel is locked to the left...left hand donuts are the go on a single spinner VL.. neva ceased to impress me nor my mates..
