Pictures of what exactly??? When I put the diff in, everything bolted up pretty easy, without too much force. I did have to pull on some control arms (upper I think) with a little bit of force to get the bolt through but thats about it. It came out of one VL into my VL...

dude, is it pulling to the left or is it crabbing? there's a difference

My mechanic mate thinks that it is pulling and not crabbing. Does anyone know why the car might be pulling to the left at all? Also, why would the tyres go 'shu shu shu' (you understand) noise more when going to the right? Is that normal? It is quite severe to the right, but almost feels unlocked when going to the left.

Turns out, the car was pulling to the left because I had a slightly larger diameter tyre on the right. Didnt realise they had a 60 profile on the left and a 65 profile on the right, put the 65profile on both ends and its fine!

dude didn't i tell you to check your tyres from the start. what's the point in asking questions if u don't take any notice of wot ppl say, i'm not gonna bother in future, btw your mechanic mate must have been away from tech the day they learnt about tyres

I must have mis-read the tyres when you asked. My mate did ask me about that and as I assumed they were the same I said they were fine. If your referring to yourself as 'my' mechanic then im sure you'll be pretty spot on with that comment.

I've got a question on the doing the drum to disc conversion. I have a Berlina Turbo wagon (no motor or box) that i use for spares, i want to use the disc rear out of it to do the conversion to my SL sedan and just wondering if their would be any size difference between the wagon and sedan although i don't believe their is, someone might know otherwise

The wagon diff is different indeed. Not sure exactly what it is that is different, but it aint that same... Someone else will be able to tell you... otherwise just search 'wagon sedan diff' and it should come up there...

just use the disc stuff off the wagon and put it on the sedan diff

the wagon has different mounting points for the diff. But as said, just use the discs off it.

Wagon has different mounts for the shocks. Diff mounts are the same. We probably shouldn't wreck this thread with the "wagon vs sedan diff" and "the axles are different lengths" arguments though.
