You got some great pics stoney!! Had a great day, cant wait to do it again. Weather was perfect, no sign of rain, stayed nice and cold all day. Thanks to Erin and Ben for organising the day, and thanks again for the lend of the window switch, it would have been a very cold and wet drive back to Newy! P.S. - i think im going to go and buy a Dihatsu Charade! heres a couple of pics: And HERE (http://members.optusnet.com.au/melscott1/videos/r34_in_car.wmv) is an in car vid - 1 lap in the R34. (6.83MB) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

lol @ the file name of the charade .. that guy and his dad have been doing wakefield track days for a long time, those little things stick to the track like honey. Brian's mate in the mazda did well too. did anyone else sneak any in car vids? Might have to do that next time.. Also i think next time, we will have an EOI for the day, then a set date for the deposits, and then final payment in full a few weeks before the day so we dont get stuck with having to cover more on the day when people decide to pull out the night before. Does everyone agree with this? Many thanks for everyones cooperation with the extra 10 bucks, we really didnt want to ask. Also next time i will choose a better meeting point than KK's so we dont get stuck in the traffic back onto the freeway. In total we had 21 drivers 1 Miz VL Turbo - Erin - VLT 2 Pascal - Ben - VLT 3 lil_timmy - Tim - VL 4 87 calais - Scott VLT 5 Ben - R34 GTT skyline 6 RB26DETT - Brendon - VLT 7 Furryfrog - George - VLT 8 Nugget - Brad - VLT 9 LIQ11D - Brian - VLT 10 Clayton - Mazda 11 BLO06L - VZ Clubby 12 stokowagon - VL 13 VEE84U - VY SS 14 Tim - charade (quick!) 15 Martin - charade 16 Paul - VR4 17 mean vs calais - VS 18 TRBOWAGN - VLT 19 Pendo - hilux 20 Matt - 180sx 21 Owen - charade Thanks to Ben as well for his help with the organising, we will definately be doing another one in the future and this time i dont think we will have any problems getting 30 drivers now word has got around about how fun it was. Next day i was thinking we could have a raffle and BBQ as well..

i had to laugh watching the clubby and charade going round the track, the clubby would smash it down the straight, but by the 1st corner the charade was in front again! I swear they only used the brakes in the charade on about 2 corners. I let him pass me on the main sraight at one stage, thought i would follow him around and watch the lines he was taking etc, but that lasted for about 2 corners and id lost him!.

Werent you expecting a few more Ezza? Bit dissapointing if that was the case, but looks like an awesome day . You gangsta jacko btw Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Blink we wont get into that as it was an awesome day regardless and 99% of people interested were really helpful and prompt with deposits etc and committed from the start except for a certain hilux driver who is not welcome on any more of our track days. Lots of track time, great weather and lots of action. I cant wait to see the DVD!

Hey quick question- Does anyone have an oil pressure gauge in their peripheral vision? Because I am almost positive I would lose some oil pressure around some long, fast corners. I started to lose pressure at the 1/4 mile by the 410m mark so I can't imagine it would love it around corners! Oh yeah standard sump. Haven't taken my car to the track yet but will soon. Drive up here Erin and I'll give you some tips.. P.s. You need bigger sway bars judging by that pic! Nice to see someone backing it into a corner too! lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ive got a mechanical gauge but its not in my line of sight, i didnt overfill my car and was trying to push hard into the corners and nothing bad happened. i think more people had water temp issues

I was tyring to keep my eye on my oil pressure guage as i know the standard oil pickup system leaves a lot to be desired, but in the middle of a corner wasnt the best time to be checking it (factory guage), checked it on exiting corners a fair bit and didnt notice anything wrong. Don't think it would have been a problem except for the undiscoverable mystery leak. Quote: Originally Posted by LukeVL P.s. You need bigger sway bars judging by that pic! I think that's my next handling mod too. Thanks to stoney for hosting that pic of my wagon, you can see what I mean. As for the sudden development of the missfire I had, I have to wait for the rain to stop to inspect. Pretty sure it's just a fouled plug or electrode deformed by melting. Unfortunately I couldn't watch oil pressure, I've just got a big ugly clock to look at on my dash. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
