I wonder what power increase I could get out of my NA motor I'm removing soon with putting a different spec cam in, considering the head was just recoed. I did most of the machining myself, since I had access to the tools, but I had to take a fair stack off the face to get it level. Since the head I used had been shaved before, I'm guessing it's had at least 0.030" taken off it, I did quickly measure it and although I was a bit rushed, it was close to the 0.040" mark. Needless to say, bit more guts in her, just didn't put 95/98 octane in to handle any possible detonation, so I just retarded the timing to be sure. Once I pull the motor I'll look into it, since I don't see it selling anytime soon, as I'm putting in a turbo motor in a weeks time.
