bas is right.. my 15 inch lags... by the next beat the preivous beat is still vibrating... thts wat he means by out of sync...
10s and 12s are more responsive but dont have the pure bass of a 15 or 18 "
and i jsut read ur post baset.. for trance (your trance lol) 2 x 10s would be nuts... but id prefer a dual voice coil 12" for more range (ie house n **** too)

My guess would be a poor installation or bad choice of components.

The size of the woofer has little to do with how 'punchy' or 'responsive' it sounds. Most of the 'punch' is actually reflective of strong midbass, eg. strong front stage.

I would reccommend a single, decent 12" woofer. If it's in the correct enclosure and powered correctly you'll be doing well. That is, if the rest of your system is up to scratch, of course.

a good 12 will destroy a good 10 and so on. Saying that id prefer 2 good 10s over one good 12 but in reality it will cost more for 2 good 10s so save your money with the single 12 and get a real good box built and deaden the **** out of your boot and you will have some fierce bass... domp domp not doush doush

But your amp controls your SUBS? I thought that SUBS were only run off the AMPS? How is the Headunit giving you more bass/power?
I'm lost with car audio... Someone explain please.

a $800 deck generally sounds NOTICABLY better than a $90 super cheap audio california gold special... this has to do with the digital-analog-converters and just the quality of the decoding and signal being sent through the cables, not to mention the output voltage... good decks will be 4v+ whereas cheap decks will be 1 maybe 2v which means u need to turn your gains up higher on the amp, not ideal.

well you know the head unit helps you fine tune the sound once you set the amp then all the eq settings like bass and trebble and sub vol is finbe tuned
