2 5/8 are the sizes
$140 for Boost
$110 Oil Pressure (Electric , Mech are more)
$90 Water Temp
So you are looking at just under $500

bewsh, Most guys just put a plate of alloy underneath the vents to screw to
Generally to have these guages legal as stated they cant be shiny but also theyre supposed to potrude no more than 2" above the bonnet so legally they should be recessed into somewhere. seen in done neatly and it looks good.

i recon its a tuff look on a VL.. i'll be doing it to mine - got all the gauges, just need to find some decent cups.
ive got some chrome ones atm which the angle isnt adjustable (theyre for sale if anyone wants em)
where do u get the ones like in WhiteBT1's pic? where u can adjust the angle of it? and who makes them ?

Chrome Gauge cups are technically legal. Think of it this way. If they were illegal then chrome rims would have to be illegal, chrome grills would have to be illegal and chrome doorhandles would have to be illegal too. Not to mention chrome mouldings. Its all about reading the fine print but when a copper pulls you up its up to you to prove that any bystanders or other motorists (let alone yourself) aren't going to get welders flash or anything like that from the glare reflecting off your gauge cups.
And what's the obsession with autometer? Spitfire gauges do the job just as well but cost 50 bucks less (well for the boost gauge anyway). I'd only use autometer for gauges that are hard to get like trans temp or brake line pressure and maybe a matching monster tach but for the others I'd use spitfire.

These are mine - just 2 but might get a 3rd later on - and I'm in the process of arranging to get 2 more cups colour coded with the car

why have them under the heater controls or the passenger side of the dash/bonnet? so the passenger can tell you what they are reading? have them in front of the driver so the driver can monitor the vital signs of the vehicle
if you dont wanna be hasseled, get mechanical guages, you cant have them inside

why would u go to all the trouble of buyin them, buying cups, mounting them, and making everything look all pretty, and then not hook them up?
it would be like an expert knot-tyer quitting a knot-tying contest right in the middle of tying a knot

Yep my brother has mounted them without a plate. That's with a spitfire gauge cup though.

That magazine is ****ed. There was some pink sierra thing that had a front mount on it. Upon closer inspection it clearly wan't plumbed up. Turn the page and there is the stock top mount from a WRX fitted and plumbed up while the big shiny front mount is all for show. And the sad thing is these cars are Autosalon prize winners. Please don't tell me that the guys on this forum are spankers like the Hot 4's crew? Tell me it isn't so.
