on the list will be more motor work ie: prob some spool or argo rods, o-ring, hone, port/polish, blueprint, acid ect ect and then some head work, get some good cfm and new lifters and springs.. then tune for 24-25psi and maybe c16 and see if a 9 is in sight... but this isnt going to happen soon

I doubt there are much gains in the head, if it is coming apart anyway then by all means, but if its one of the reasons to pull it down to do some more work, there are probably other area's you could gain more power without pulling anything apart. Maybe camshaft development, vernier cam gear, power port the intake manifold and comp cover, or even just put the $$ towards your race fuel and tune. Also saves havin your baby pulled apart for any period of time 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

with head work and improving efficency you'll make more power on less boost.. well thats the goal!! lol. go some bigger valves while your at it.

I know the "theory" of more air=more power, and that some engines make more power on less boost etc, but in my experience, for the $$ outlayed the gains aren't there in spades. Besides that, even if you get another 50cfm flow out of the head, the restricion is the intake manifold. The stock lower runners only flow about 190-200cfm with pretty much all of the top halves out there. Put that in front of a port, whether it flows 160-170cfm(nearly stock-mild port work) or 200+cfm from a fully prepped head and you will find that the restriction of the manifold will drop the flow of the 200cfm head back to almost the same as the stocker as its the intake restriction. Power port the runners however, and its a whole new ball game, 15% more flow without touching the head and you don't have to pull anything apart, just the intake manifold off. 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah thats it.. I think Andy's getting around 225cfm per runner from his street based plenum which is a fairly good number. From what I have seen most of the aftermaket 'plenums' flow 190-215cfm.

You can get your manifold power ported by Andrew Sanders at Specialised Power Porting. He is located in melbourne(just out of I think) and phone number is 03 53301123. The usual price to do a manifold including flow testing before and after is around $660. But if you tell him I sent you and that your a CT member, he might do it for trade price for you which is about $550. The other benifit to power porting is that if some of the runners are weaker/stronger than others, he ports the lowest flowing ones the most top bring them all up to the same even flow, allowing you to run leaner mixtures safely. 6BOOST

Hey kyle, just going on from what you said, if all the runners have been power ported and flow evenly does that mean every cylinder will recieve the same airflow under boost? Or, does it come down to plenum design and where air is forced more under boost. Evening up the runners would obviously help though?
