well i i got it cleared finally BUT I had to take the cooler off!!! GMH-JC who inspected the car? cos they persisted I had to take the cooler off which really pissed me off when it says clearly that one intake is allowed.

The one you had and another dude. They looked at the airbox, made sure the emission lines were connected, and said nothing about the cooler.???

man thats bull****! I mean I'm happy for you that u got ur canary off but why the hell didnt they pass me when my airbox was connected just like yours and I had a cooler as well? It was that Laurie guy who was givin me the hard time saying I can't have the cooler! This is why I am so pissed grrrr

It has happenned to me before, that the "defect" sticker has (cough) "fallen off" the windscreen. I just took the sticker that "fell off" and all the other associated paperwork inside at vic rods and they dont bother coming outside to have a look, because they have a 'rwc' in their face.

thats rediculas! when i lived in vic, i took my car in for exactly the same things wrong and didnt even change them and they passed it because they didnt know what they were looking at.. (afm in cooler pipe, boost controller, malpassi) ive even been done for too low and only changed the back because i couldnt be bothered changing the front and was still like 80mm at the front when i took it in and they got the wheel under it and sayed its still too low mate, i turn around and say the cop told me it was only the back and they passed it lol. i hate it how you can get away so easy with bigger issues and get ****ed up on the small gay ones...

Yeah I totally agree Calais902. It just ****s me how I've gone back 6 times after putting the car back to stock (afm back on airbox, pod taken off) with just the cooler and cos they're so dumb and thought it was a modified radiator they told their head office, then they thought I've got a modified radiator therefore needing an engineer's cert. Plus the inspector put words in my mouth telling head office that "i put an aftermarket turbo with the cooler" which I never said so I can't believe what's happening! Why the hell are they working at vicroads inspecting cars if they don't know anything about them!

well the thing is I was nice to em at the start. I only started getting frustrated when they wouldn't clear the defect when I had the afm back on the airbox/pod taken off so it was good to pass, and thats when they started adding extra **** like the cooler (to them it was a "modified radiator"), the supposed "aftermarket turbo" etc... I mean the same inspector cleared DeanoVLCT's car and he had a cooler and the guy didn't say anything and passed him. doesnt make sense?

yeh he said the cooler was alright cause it wasnt on my defect and i had standard airbox! i dunno weird i guess Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
