This is me on my mates computer, The car has been painted, it looks killer, it is just covered in dust in the photos, The car has big tubs and shortened diff, you really can';t see it in the photos, so there is no chance of putting stocky rims on it. Apart from that, the coilovers and diff can cleary be seen from the back To fit you have to reverse the sump and do a tunnel, but they are front heavy then, so it is better to cut into the firewall and shift it back, But they do jam in without doing the firewall from memory. cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I like motor conversions into different car bodies, I have seen a Gem fitted up before with a RB30 and 5 speed manual. But you gotta ask yourself why bother with all the effort, if you want to race when a VL body can break into the 8's. And nothing would be more embarassing than getting beaten on the strip by a fully loaded street registed calais, interior, power windows, a/c etc.

Further more it would be embarssing getting beaten by a Vl which has a rather large house deposit spent on it, by a gemini that's has cost half of what you would pay for a stock vl calais turbo at the moment . further more, i own a 380rwkw street car, and i can tell you, that the last gemini with a Rb30 with 180rwkw that i had a hand in, is still the best/most fun car i have ever driven! cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Its about working within a budget, not everyone can justify $10-$15k on a VLCT and then spend that on it again to get it going hard.

As it stands, it has cost the price of a good condition ATMO vl calais Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Went out there Sat, as Tony is painting my R31 at the moment aswell. The plenum is fitted, he has all the brakes working etc. Is booked in for next Monday to go to workshop for a final few things to be done, and then on the road, Will post more pics when running, and dyno sheet etc. Tony didn't like his car being called a girls car , did you Tony! Oh conversion wise, apparently you always have to cut the firewall apparently, coudn't remember, reverse the sump and do engine and gearbox mounts, aswell as a bigger tunnel, so not a 2 second job cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

more pics! awesome conversion... i've always wanted to do an engine conversion on a gemini, but like the tx coupes better! Was thinking more along the lines of ca or sr but the rb30 looks right at home in there. Dean

195rwkw at 6100rpm on 14psi, will squeeze 20-22 into it next time, and do cam timing. the converter sucks up the grunt on the dyno. cheers darren
