I didn't even look at the pics, but the old school way of doing it was
to use a cold start injector mount of a 2.0 multipoint camira, and
put the desired injector in it. They are nearly impossible to find these
days though , as they made **** all of that model., ok just looked,
that is what the injector mount has come of, a camira
cheers

Got the dyno done boyz.. was happy with the rw result but a little iffy on the fuel ratios... Think it might be a bit lean... ranged from 11`s up to about mid 13`s and then slowly back down to 11`s... was told that 11-mid 11 is about right for the setup... what do youse think?
Good stuff.
Check ur dyno sheet to see at which point (speed or rpm) it gets leaner.
This might be just before the extra injector is activated. If so, activating the extra injector that little bit earlier would have keep the A/F ratios more on the rich side.
It would of been good to 'tune' the switch on point of the extra injector while you had it on the dyno with the sniffer in the exhaust.
On mine, when i first put the extra injector on, I would get very slight audible detonation. Then I just turned the hobbs switch screw to the point so that it would activate the extra injector earlier and the detonation was gone. I then put it on the dyno to confirm the mixtures were good. I had 12.1:1 mixture and the car had the extra injector in it for over 2 years and the engine was healthy (had good compression) when i sold the car.

Yep Boost pretty sure the timing is set at 1000. The car made over 210rwkw with the fuel system pretty much stock, factory ecu & the injector has been on the car for just over two years... Am thinking of getting a microtech but when i get the funds available that way pinpointing a/f ratios wont be a hassle at all

Man mate on 16psi and hiflowed... 212.2rwkw
Is that Auto or Manual transmission dude?
Thats a nice healthy figure you've come away with with such minor mods (as far as we/you know, you sure the cam wasn't swapped when the lifters were changed?)
I've got a fairly stock rb30et at the moment and have been weighing up whether or not to stick my AVO Microfueller (now thats what i have been told its called, its just 2 injectors running from a Hobbs Switch but its the proper bit of gear from AVO) setup on there, running 2 fuel lines over the exhaust manifold worries me a bit tho.
I've had the turbo recond and hi-flow'd (just a slightly larger comp wheel from a T4 turbo, receipt says -25 comp wheel, anyone else know what theirs is, Off_Duty?) and about to get the dump pipe modified to really open that up ready for a full exhaust. Got a poor quality troublesome (fitting wise) WHOLE truck core (looks like it, its 850mm long by 420mm high, 75mm thick and means the cooler pipes head straight down and hang out under the car) intercooler at the minute thats about to get the flick for a hybrid copy 600x00x75mm core.
Just wondering if this is the sort of simple mods you have performed so far, do you have any piggyback computers like an SAFC running the rest of the show? Your A/F ratio's seem very clean, mine spits out fuel like its going out of fashion, the 1 thing i am uncertain of is the AFM, as it just says rb30e on it. (now the whole setup is in an r31 so its not like i have the original gear to compare with) But would SOMEONE perhaps be able to get some info on their AFM (air flow meter from the original VL Turbo) and PM it to me, perhaps a picture of the sticker on it or the information on the sticker, i think this might be the problem with my car if Off_Duty can get such clean numbers and a nice smooth power figure like that, would be keen to see the dyno sheet too if you could mate, just out of interest.
Cheers anyone for any info.
standard VLT injectors are maxed out at 14psi for the boys that were curious. i checked it years ago on a mates dyno using my microless when we were upgrading to the bigger injectors

Hey mate, the NA and Turbo AFM's are exactly the same, which should be the same as the r31 AFM's.
so this is whats meant when i hear about vls with extra injectors?
its in the cooler piping??
how does this work? does it work with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, so that it matches the extra fuel with the according level of boost?
Hey Bud Im Looking At Same Setup But I Only Have 154 At Wheels On 8 Pound As My Pump Cant Suply Enuf Fuel What Does 210 At The Wheels Feel Like To Drive

Hey mate sorry for the delay in the post.. Transmissions Manual mate..
Afm is fine and fuel mixtures are clean which is a bonus.. I have all standard vl injectors at the moment.. And the cam is a stage 1 wade, new springs.. The turbo is a air research t3/t4 hybrid w/ cosworth sierra turbine wheel, hi-flow compressor wheel ported exhaust manifold and ported turbine housing and a v-band clamp dump pipe.. And apart from the xtra injector and hobbs switch it has a 984 Bosch f/pump and new fittings & fuel lines. 3 inch exhaust from turbo back and thats about it... for now

The Hobbs Pressure switch senses boost pressure in the inlet manifold and 'triggers' the injector to fire...you can adjust the Hobbs switch to trigger the injector at your desired boost pressure (would be somewhere around 10-15psi) depending on setup (turbo etc).
I believe the injector gets it signal from one of the other injectors (spliced into the loom) so it would be firing at the same pulse width as the injector it was spliced into once it was triggered to fire by the Hobbs switch.
You obviously also need to add a Y-piece or T into the fuel line to feed the sucker....
Clear as mud....
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
My AVO setup has some extra wires there to put some LED's in the cabin so you can see when each injector starts firing (mines got 2 extra injectors btw).
Will probably be hooking this up along with an Apexi S-AFC2 and an S-ITC (ignition timing controller) and see how this goes.
A cam might be the next step, depends how much it makes and how useful it is. I don't wanna lose too much low down, and the turbo's not that big.
