i want to know more about this 30/40 of yours monsta... sounds perfect for my application. thought about a gt28, but might be too small. whats the actual part number of this turbo? would the characteristics change much with only the sohc? (spool, max rpm)

They change a lot with the single cam motor, not comparable at all, I mean he is saying that a 3540 is laggy, but i can tell you that MRvl has one on a RB25 head with poncams, and it makes fullboost at 2800rpm, not much different to his,it's a .82 aswell, and pulls like a 16yr old up and over 7000rpm complety diffferent motor once that head goes on cheers darren

the 1.06 rear makes 25psi by 3500rpm with twin cam and pon cams

I suppose most people mask the lag of big turbo's on their VL's by using high stall convertors in their auto's. Auto can be the difference between night and day, if you want to mask torque holes.

My turbo feels laggy after being used to a T3, and im only running a T60-1. If it was BB it would probably make a difference.

I think my stock t3 highflow is a laggy, unresponsive mofo...

im running a gt30 on my manual rb30et. .82 rear and .6 front. full boost by about 2800rpm. 355rwhp at 16psi on a standard exhaust manifold. i wouldnt call it laggy but the stock turbo used to spool up at least 600 rpm lower. go an external gate with a screamer pipe. you'l love it
