If you know HSV's quote from 1987, 750 SS Group A cars was the figure released before the cars were available. They never built 500 then thought we might build another 250. Also the lower bodykit parts came in bubble wrap on all walkinshaws for shipping purposes . They never left the factory with the lower peices on them.

For the international Group A racing series, they had to build 500 evolution specials in order to enter a car homologated to those specs. (Out of the 4 Group A commodore models only one had exactly 500 built) Basically all 500 cars were supoosed to be the same. With an initial build planned at 750 cars for the VL SV version the first 500 were supposed to be all the same. Dealers could add whatever they wanted to the cars in the way of sunroof's, leather interiors and even the calais flip lights if they wished. To find a car that actually left HSV's factory with these sorts of things fitted and with documentation to back it up would be a very rare thing indeed and i have only seen paperwork for one such car and even then it didn't cover everything the car came with. HSV wasn't quite up to HDT's level of documentation at that stage and who would need to do a spec sheet for a car when they are all supposed to be the same anyway. There was supposed to have been a handful of cars released (number unknown) with the SV88 bodykit with the bonnet scoop being the only Group A body kit part. I was hoping to track one of these down for a photoshoot of the three major variants of the car, but the last one i had a lead on has had the full Group A kit fitted to it now which has ruined what was to be a very rare and special car. Has been a long time seen i have seen one of these cars in front of me. Corsa

When I bought my house, that was one of the first things I did. Made sure the car could drive in and out easy. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'm still careful but that other place I lived at was terrible.

Just to join in on the whole "driveway" issue with owning a Walky,my dad(who also owns a Walky)came up with an idea of fiberglassing 6 bolts off bottom bib so we can remove our lower spoilers in 1 minute by turning wheels full lock and using big washers+wingnuts to fit spoiler. In the houses i've rented over the years it was a pain to go out/come home and fit/remove said bottom spoiler but it looks funny without em.Lucky house i bought 4 years ago has a nice FLAT driveway, still have to reverse into local Shell servo for fuel off main road which is embarrising.

The guy I bought mine off had ramps for his driveway too, and he gave me the ramps when I bought the car. He needed the ramps even when the bottom lip was removed! My driveway was very similar to his, so before I took delivery of the car (while I was waiting for my loan to be finalized) I got a concreter to chop out the first few meters of my driveway and re-lay it flatter to the road. The things we do to own a Walky! I leave my car permanently without it's front spoiler bottom lip attatched, but even though I'm very carefull with it I've still managed to put some scrapes under the main front spoiler. I think one day I'll buy another kit to keep in storage so I can have it looking mint again, but while I'm enjoying driving it regularly I'll leave the scraped bits on.

Well i've never had to use ramps personally or modifiy driveways so i'm lucky in that respect.Had a few scrapes when doing weddings as they expect you to drive up anything like a 4wd.I have had my front and side bottom skirts repaired many times but trying to find the time/patience to remove and repair the back one. When i use the car bra i must remove the front bottom bib as its a bra made for use only without said bottom spoiler so i have to carry it around in passenger seat like a surfboard-it'll be handy if they fitted in the boot?
