in 28'' of water at 500' lift my rb26 head made 210.3/300.8,not sure which is inlet/exhuast but if you want full details of diffrence in lifts ill send it to you via pm.. pro-flo are one of the best, paul will give you more than you expect but youll be waiting a while. my rb26 flowed identical as gtr-700,give or take a few cfm,id rather not say anything else, rams head service did my machining and porting, they are located in windsor, speak to berny or darren, the machining alone will set you back about $2500 if you wanna go to the extent i did, thats if your using an rb26 cylinder head. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

so why are you telling us now, I thought it was a secret? Your car still "4 weeks away" ? I think everyone here knows the TC head is miles ahead of the SOHC flow wise........

Boredom perhaps...

y would u keep secrets. u build a car, everyone wants to go fast, share what u achieve and learn.. interesting to note the difference of a stock head 163cfm to a heavily ported head like nzvlct 206cfm and then rb26 230cfm

My head flowed 204 cfm @28 @500 lift. Carried out most of the porting myself to save some money and had it finished off by place in melb.

got any pics of the intake port, I showed the RB30 head to all the top race engine builders here and all said the port would never do 200 without down-porting a bit and bogging the floor and short turn.... did you do floor work or was the flowbench having a happy day? lol

hey guys my spare head is going off this week to be ported.. i am just wondering what i should ask to have done? I want to make as good power as i can on as minimal boost as it is a street car. Specs: Highflowed t3 to t04b specs, cooler, exhaust, forward facing plenum, street cam, microtech, gtr injectors, 5 speed manual and 3.9s in the diff. I know im not even close to the same league as all of you guys but i'm getting the head done this week or next and i wanna know whats going on, for example what do bigger valves do and do i need them? Pros and cons?

Pros and cons? if you are after good power for moderate boost, ditch the hiflow and get a GT series turbo, they are great for efficiency, good manifolding and camshaft too (contact luke for a good cam) bigger valves cost quite a bit, for a street engine with moderate power I wouldnt bother, just get them to clean the ports up and port in the bowl and short turn area and the std 3 angle valve job, that should see 180ish CFM on the intakes and 125ish on the exhausts, anything more than this isnt great value for dollars spent. get them to port match the intake manifold to the head as these dont match very well from the factory. get them to machine the headface to raise the CR a bit (assuming its the std VLT CR at the moment) ditch the 'hi-slow' and go GT!!! Cheers Brent Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
