low 11's with stock jatco, with a convertor.. There is no way I can see that happening.. I dont think even a low 13 would be possible.. They flare up very badly under boost when stock between gears.. I just dont see it's possible to run that time..

I don't really know what mine is, but I assume it's a non-turbo box with a shift kit, also with a trans cooler. It's been going for 2 years now behind my turbo engine, intercooler, cam, ported dump pipe, 2.5 exhaust, and 10 psi. Hasn't missed a beat. In fact, the money I had put aside for a new gearbox went to rebuilding the engine instead!

if your going to use the n/A box as a streeter and not a drager i say it will last a lot longer! Just hope mine lasts with a transcooler :S Why fork out 3 grand for an auto rebuild when N/A Boxs are next to nothing to buy and piss easy to install!

I dont beleive it.. coz it's simply crap I serviced mine.. and it slipped very very badly at 175rwkw, standard VLT auto.. untouched.. they simply cant handle it. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah 117kw wasn't it? My mf5 has been in the car since i have had it for a year and a half and it was in there for ages before that, sweet as, mf5 is way stronger than the n/a auto tho

My couses VLT was making approximately 190 rwkws on a stock VLT jatco, with 2800 converter. However he ran a huge air to liquid tranny cooler with a thermo fan on it. Run smooth and tight for about 3-4 years, then started to get a little tired but still changed fairly well when he sold it.

if Ur going to run power through the box i suggest a big cooler or something as the stock box will not handle the extra forces and heat. servicing does include tightening the bands and also replacing the filter, remembering that there is a nut right up top that is almost impossible to get at, recommend taking the throttle bodey out to replace the filter, also there are 2 bands to adjust forward gears and reverse screw them up and u wont have any drive in any gears.....i know i did it to the reverse bands Lucky its out side the pan........
