this exhaustworx guy used to custom make headers and does alot of fabrication stuff (trans mounts, cooler pipes etc), hes no mr muffler and flanges up everything so its not 1 peice, easy to take off, sprayed black and looks stock i got ausi hiflo mufflers and cats as it works and is cheaper, why get stainless apexi crap or whatever ill be down a few grand if you want something strait from the turbo you will probly want the flange to start with but can everything else can be welded up, probly get a screamer as well i got recomended this guy from r31skylineclub, some people swear by this guys work, hes local to you i sugest you talk to him as you wont be disapointed if you want to look under my car your quite welcome

Just finished my system yesterday.full s/s 3.5" system including: high flow cat and muffler. Took me 7 hours at home to, pull the old system off, line up and cut the new piping, then fully tig weld the whole thing. the hardest part was trying to get a good clearance off the road. Cost me $400 in total. sounds like a f***en jet.

I got mine done when I was living in Adelaide by Mark at Exhaust Technology, very happy with the result, he was honest, informative and knows his stuff. Cost me $1400, but as OMY-11S said, you pay for workmanship. It's is beautiful, 3" from the turbo to cat in mild steel, then stainless from the cat to tip. It only has one muffler, sound magnificent on full noise, I went for a more expensive muffler coz I want it to last. Look at it this way, we're lucky with VL's it's only one exhaust, try owning a V8 and getting a decent system made... DeFillipo is one of the best systems you can get for an LS1 and they aint cheap!

try owning a 300 and having twin exhuast system or you can go from twin into one... i got a set of mufflers to have fitted at the back sitting here.. I have to get pipes made up from my x pipe back.. the problem is the exhaust system from a 2 seat to a 2+2 is different due to the fuel tank on a 2+2 sits right in the middle of the rear end of the car so means the exhaust has to be bent around it. a twin will flow heaps better drew to a v shaped motor.. just like v8's DeFillipo is one of the best and as what morepsi said its not cheap either! i guess i am kind of lucky i got part of an exhuast system already done on my car but if i want to make more power upgrading it will cost me an arm and a leg to buy here so thats why alot of people tend to buy from overseas etc..
