I really want it to be the sort of car that the police would not take a second look at, and that is hard driving a VL.

ISL-33P's old vlt is a perfect example of it! true sleeper and really went! also duz360's old beast use to be a awesome sleeper aswell... would not of thought for a second that they were quick cars! lol Steve

trying to do? easy... stock suspension, hubbies, stock plates, knited blanket along parcel tray and away ya go! lol using a stock rear muffler (not connected to exhaust) will add to the sleeper look aswell! Steve Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Mate if you do decide to get rid of the calais parts off your car I'll buy the whole lot off you in one go... I'm considering going the opposite way to you with my BT1, I wanna turn it into a calais... Keep it in mind anyway mate and let me know...

87 Calais has already asked me about the Calais Front, if he decides he doesnt want it then I will sell it on here. The calais tail lights are not very good, one is cracked. The moulds around the lights are already taken I will have the lower door and front guard moulds, and the boot strip ( which is a bit faded) off the car soon too.

Ok, finally got the car back, need to get it tuned. Will be interesting to see how it goes on the dyno, I am hoping for it to get around 200rwkw.

thanks da hoon. the sleeper look is the best way to go. i got pulled over only once (for speeding one month after i bought it) in the five years i owned it my old vl, apart from the usaual breath testing, thank god for that otherwise i would have been screwed. sack the calais look and go back to sl, with hubcaps, the essential part. imitation calais's are much like your imitation harleys, sort of the same but not really (not that you would want to imitate a harley any day of your life!!!!!) the only thing i noticed is that you dont get many street runs because no one looks at twice thinking what has been done to it, which can be a good thing............sort of.
