11-02-06, 16:44 GMT+10#21 i have one in my car, has not given me any trouble whatsoever, if you are use to a quiet lsd then it may not be for you, but i use to run a spool and now have a lokka centre and its a huge improvment. have run 11.8 sec passes with slicks and 1.6 sec 60 fot time and hasnot given any sign of breaking yet. they do have some lash though, as in feels like driveline slop, quite bearable though. when mine went in we used brand new side gears to be safe.

20-10-06, 02:48 GMT+10#26 I was with my mate when they chucked it in his calais turbo, MINT for traction and going sideways but about 6 months later its starting to axle tramp HARDCORE.
You stall it up and take off (say 3000rpm) and it shakes the whole car ****ing hard.
Ask da0k on here.
The clicking u get when u go around corners is normal of the locker, if u install it and look at the assembly u will understand but as soon as ur foot is on the throttle it locks.

20-10-06, 06:48 GMT+10#27 I used to get tramp issues with the Spool, but I nolothaned all the bushes in the rear and it is fine now.

l have 3.9 minispool in my car and always wondered why it shaked so much on take off and on full throttle Revving out second gear, it shakes like hell but when your in 3rd or about over 100kmph the shake dissapears? is this normal having a minispood?
If l get normal LSD with 3.7 gears will that give me traction off the line like minispool? l want more of a smooth drive and the minispool shakes the whole car which can feel uncomfortable at times.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
bump, if l get rid of the minispool will the shaking disappear?

that's got nothing to do with the spool
that could be wheel balancing
centre bearing
uni joints flogged out
bushes in the rear end flogged out
tyres on the rim's out of shape
bent axle
