Interesting Tempest, you sound disgruntled with the results? How does the Hiflo rate with the GT? Is there any comparison? For interest sake I made 325rwhp on 20psi with my Hiflo, how different is the response etc with external gate?

drives like my hiflo, full boost by 2950 on 18psi, about 3000 on 20psi. max power at around 4500 (way cam is setup). is way smoother and MORE responsive than the hiflo, though i don't know how much of that is to do with the tune. it is also using LESS fuel believe it or not.

only 255rwkw on 20psi out of a 600hp GT30 running on a 3ltr... hmm... I would be hell annoyed. especially when i made more power, on less boost with a smaller motor. I'd be looking for why you arent close to the 300rwkw (400rwhp) mark personally. running a .63 rear on a 3ltr would be interesting too see if there are gonna be some detonattion issues once moderate boost levers are used cause it just wont be able to get that air out

different dynos=different power. i beat a 400rwhp vl fairly badly the other night... given that it had lag and a t04. if i wanted power, i would have got a 35 wit 1.06 rear. i wanted a responsive, drivable car, that's why i went 30 with a .82 rear.

yeah fair enough dynos are different of course. Everyone knows that Thats more difference than one would normally expect tho. normal (if there is such) i would say around 15-20rwkw flutuation is pretty reasonable. 50rwkw difference however i dunno about that As for your comment about driveable... "it bags 3rd" how is that driveable?

as there are so many people that either have these turbo's or interested in putting them on, has anyone spoken about getting the oil/water lines and spacers and a discounted price and everyone order them togeather ?

the other thing that i have not mentioned is that my cam is retarted/acvanced (i can't remember) so that max power is at 4200rpm, if i moved it so that it made max around 5500 I'm sure you would see a fair bit more PEAK power, but may be actually slower to drive...

The car is fantastic to drive And be a passenger in. It feels like a....... probably 115-118ish mph car, in a full weight calais. Besides which, it has a safe tune, on pump fuel, with max 20psi of boost, 3" exhaust, stock NA intake manifold, no headwork, medium cam, basically stockish engine with cam and a turbo, and 340rwhp is damn good in my books. Colin (cmy747) made 350rwhp on 22psi, same dyno and ran 11.1@121 in full weight calais with sunorrof, PS and full electircs, would have went 10.95 if it didn't splutter as it came off the brake out of the hole. So you got more than 340rwhp with a hiflo on the stock manifold?? Do you have a dyno graph?? Maybe we could compare the 2. Cheers.......................6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'll post up the dyno tomorrow. and how reliability does a hiflo produce more then 300hp consistently? not very... and i will never run a 11 in it i don't think, as i don't want to put slicks on it again. and being manual hurts the times badly too...
