14-07-05, 17:58 GMT+10#21 As a mechanic I can honestly tell u that the carbys sound way better. They are easy to mod and thers heaps u can do urself to make it quicker. EFI's on the other hand just need a real nice exhaust and extractors to get a decent sound but are more fuel efficient and way more powerful stock. My stock VL goes harder than my mates VH 308 but that could be because his is thrashed. In the end mate. EFI's are cheaper to fix cos no labour involved, plug the computer in and problemo solved. Carby on the other hand may be cheap to mod but labour to fix them is a *******. In the end it's up to you and how much power you want now and how much you want to spend in the future. I would recommend doing a bit of research if you can't make up your mind.
Personally i'd go injected/EFI but that's just me. Good luck mate

disclamer : in no way did i say carby is better than efi, just cheaper to mod
all in all, its up to whateva you want as they both have advantages/disadvantages
The cost of EFI vs Carby wouldnt really be too much different,
and i dont know anyone who has spent 3 grand on an ECU.
But yeah its up to you really, for that sort of money you could have either.
