Guys, i've just confirmed the above with the original owner. He's said the car is a (HDT SPORT) it's not an (LE). There are two models HDT released, one being the (LE by HDT) the other the (SPORT). The guy that use to own it still has the genuine papers so he says! The car is genuine (midnight Blue) the color is Eucumeby Blue. The color code on a genuine Black VL should read (001). So there you have it...The inside news/goss. I know the full history of that car. I assume this would depreciates the cars value heaps. Anyways, it is a nice car though. VLONOS

Hey Buddy, Did you know the guy that use to be the previous owner of the HDT Sport use to have the plates (JET-HDT) as his personal number plates? He still have them sitting in his bedroom at home. Your user name are his plates! Just thought i'd let you know.

Well first of all its not black, while people claim it is. Its a sport which is no were near worth the cost of buying a LE. It's like putting a sunroof in, it didnt come out with one so why do it? Who cares to tell you the truth, the guy has a great car, that all there is to it. Everyone else can drowl when they see it, thats the main thing.

Sorry to break your chain but SPORT models are virtually the same as LE's bar different name badges & Options from original owners...Still a HDT so i dont see why SPORT models are any different in price to LE's...

BOOST ON Was your car enterd? I dont see how a VLT can be "Sh!t" just because it has a standard Exhaust Manifold... It seems that unless its a show car you dont wanna see it.. Well i personally Like seeing clean street cars unlike yourself it seems. Rob

im a go not show person when it comes to preference on a vl, when i say sh!t i mean, the black un finished calais out the back sporting a dyno sheet presenting over 300kw, when it was visual only runnin like a highflow or to4 on a standard manifold standard everythin, tell me how i am suposed to believe this ? and no it was not entered coz it was being tuned because of a new custom plenum and smashing the 5 speed, HSVQUE i would have rathered seeing your car there.... it all came down to presonal preference, alot of the cars entered where not wat they were made out to be, and the real cars that should have been representing the VLT seen should have been bresciani rajab and the likes,so we were put to shame by a dirty BA make that a practically stock BA.... ! cars like GAS747 sams BT1 would have been more enjoyable to look at

Fair enough on the LE as they are hard bargains to come across, but as for the SPORT there were alot more made therefor you can find them if you look hard enough. Either way they are two nice VLs, especially when there produced in black. The only genuine Black one i know off is Danny LE's, apart from that i heard they've either been written off or stolen. Anyways, Be a good SPORT, Good Night. VLONOS...

Dude i think SPORT model is hard to find as well...As there were a total of 150 Sport Models produced,Mixture of engine types V8,Turbo,Berlina models,Then the calais SPORT which only 7 made in V8,And less made in the Nissan RB30 Turbo... I'm currently looking for another HDT SPORT Turbo or LE Turbo i can tell you it's not an easy mission finding these...I havent even come across a SPORT turbo yet and been looking everywhere...

I move to a different state and my name still gets mentioned in people conversations. Far out. What's VLONOS talking about? Shut your mouth boy...I know where you live. Cousin's in love with my old car! Tells me i'm on Calaisturbo.com, what's the buzz? Joe from MSC did purchase my old car! Looks nice Joe. Go the HDTs, they'll never die. As for the the Sport and LE price difference i would say there the same. Same bars, same interior, the only dif is the sport dosent come out with the polorizer i think, well mine didnt anyway. The main thing is that Sport badge, looks crazy in the engine bay. (JET-HDT) all the way. If anyone is keen on the plates let me know. Bye for now. P.S. Ship some VLs over to Queensland, see you guys soon.

VLONOS i know the current owner, the papers say its original black. He is even going to get the chassis and engine plates checked out. What difference does it make to u if its black or not? do u own it?

What difference does it make to u if its black or not? do u own it? Dudes, i really dont give a sh*t to tell you the truth i am only stating the FACTS. The previous owner of the car brought it and still has the original papers with the build number and all. He has the facts to prove it's BLUE so why are you arguing with me? I bet you the papers dont say it's BLACK!!! Get back to me when he gets the chassis and engine plates checked out, otherwise check for yourself, a genuine BLACK VL should read 001 for it's colour number. Go on prove me wrong, i was with James when they pulled out the engine in Turbo Worx's factory and seen the Blue paint in the engine bay/tunnel. Just proving a point.
