how much we reckon it would cost to get a new trans? just the stock vl one for now.

vl freak shouldn't u call him or pm?? i cant see a seller calling a buyer... and BLINKME, i'm not too sure about the tranny cost but do u do alot of mechanical work urself or know sum1 who can??.. coz my bro and i hav replaced a tranny or 2 in the last year and it's pretty damn easy but he's into that sorta thing haha. if a mechanic does it u could be up for a fair bit..?

for me, this car is my dream vlc down to the colour..in my situation, the tranny means nothing it's actually a bonus when it comes to the price. but thats just me coz i hav the free luxury of people who can get it going in half a day..aww why cant it be from sydney even my brother shook his head when i shown him the low price

$400 for second hand replacment (usually) cheaper if u do it your self tarrent.

yeah here in syd, 440 swap over including labour.

tons of places have them for that price,cant remember who exactly,it was months ago when i inquired,manual will cost you about $1200 if you get someone to do it or around $600 if you do it your self,beaware it will take you a while if you do it.i got work early sun mornin thats why im home.I am a mechanic now.oh auto change over's are a piece of piss,if you do the auto your self it will cost bout $200,$250 for a good one.

F I L L I P O, did u come in this thread just to say that??..u didnt even offer any advice or ANYTHING whatsoever about the car 4 sale.. i was merely finding out whether he could to the transmission himself or was taking it to a mechanic because he asked for a guestimation quote for repairing it.. and as u can see, he answered the question. i reckon buy this for 3k without the wheels, buy urself a r33 half cut which will set u back 3.5 k, if ur mechanically minded or good mates with a mechanic u might just have a series 2 calais with a sunroof running with a rb25 and a manual box Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
