Oh and as for the turbo ford what power does it make my friends just finished building one for a customer and on shagged lifters made 600+hp at the back wheels

28-01-05, 12:12 GMT+10#37 Not 600 rwhp thats for sure.
Its at 202rwkw on 10psi and still a standard engine. Next retune with my new cam and 15psi Im aiming for 280-300rwkw. Then we get to see how long a standard engine lasts. I dont expect it to hold together forever but when it goes I get to start the rebuild.

28-01-05, 12:32 GMT+10#38 yeah the thing only revved to about 5,500 with new solid lifters it should rev up to 7,500 where their hoping to get around the 800rwhp mark!!! but for now the owner is driving it around just to get used to the power before they change the lifters. These guys also have the fastest ET TURBO in australia not bad for a small 2 person (brothers) operation.

28-01-05, 12:38 GMT+10#39 Your talking about TUFED6 yeah from MRD? Johns car is awesome! I might be getting a ride in it shortly, I cant wait.
I thought it was only his gearbox holding him back being a stock T5 I didnt know about his lifters. I dont know how much his car would like being revved to 7500 with a pretty standard balanced bottom end. He only has an ACL rebuild kit in there with treated standard rods I thought.
Are we talking about the same car?
