07-07-06, 13:59 GMT+10#25 I'm sure the sv5000 did come with 4 bolt mains as there engine numbers starts with a VP and on the the stardard 2 bolt blocks the engine number starts with VU. So i have been told if your engine starts with VP engine number its has a 4 bolt mains.

There was a White manual SV5000 built and was tested by Car Australia in the July 91 issue. This car may have been a pilot vehicle and later destroyed or could be the White one that went overseas to Brunei. Initially the grey and green were the only colours available. Then Blue, Red and White being standard Holden colours were offered with bugger all of any of them made in these colours.

07-07-06, 16:00 GMT+10#28 SV5000 should have a VE prefix on the engine which was also used in other 200KW models like the VP Senator 5000i and VQ Statesman 5000i.
The VL SS Group A had the VP prefix whilst the VN SS Group A used a VK prefix which was also used in the VP GTS and Clubsport 5000i. Only the VP and VK prefixes were the 4 bolt blocks. As there were plans to build 500 VN SS Group A's and they only got as far as 302 of them the leftover engine blocks were then used for the 130 VP GTS's and 50 VP Clubsport 5000i models bringing the total to 482 cars with them.

07-07-06, 20:16 GMT+10#31 Well the sv5000 which i looked at tonight has a VP prefix so this one has a 4 bolt block i'd say but i would say the only way to to find out is to pull it down.
