Did it have a shift kit? Cause a shift light in an auto non-drag or burnout car car is kinda stupid plus you already have a tacho in the dash, may aswell have just wired up a jaycar in dash led shift light kit instead of that big nasty lookin 5", Roy...

yeah it already came with two shift light kits.... i use it so its easier to shift once its at peak boost.. instead of watchin the tacho in the dash i can watch the road an see a bright blue light in the corner of my eye.. u know, bit of common sense i guess! so u wanna tell me da difference between the stupidity of putting a shift light in a auto or a manual??? i dont know to many people that race in drive!

i had mine mounted on the steering column, so you could see it just underneath the stock dash tacho. looked good and stealthy. (my old gauge got pinched off the bonnet)

I wasn't bagging you Fusion, Just the fact that you have a big 5" that's all...Wouldn't have said anything to you if you just had a shift light set up either in the dash or on...And you said yourself you don't even look at the gauge you just wait for the light, It all comes down to what you like, if you wanna have a big 5" then fair enough, just didn't see the point if you have a gauge but don't use it. i too think tacho's are gay if 1. you have a stock auto like fusion 2. have a perfectly good tacho in your dash And antho, your comment 'until you have the likes of vlt 11' it wasn't like he built that from the ground up, It was almost finished when Dave built it, all he's done is go slap a bigger turbo, and engine mods. My 2c.

understand for the $$$$$ but consindering how nice that vl is, i believe that tacho rec's the nice look of it, and small shift light only would have looked nice! but having a massize monstor tacho hangning off the side of the dash smells like rice! faster and furiouser :P just my 2 cents

pfft.. ur bitchin about how BIG the tacho is... have a look at the size of the ****in body kit!!! its a boxy lookin car an the tacho suites... have u seen it from out side... mmmm... no! vlt-dreamer - id like to know were u got ALMOST finished by dave from... the interior is stock an stuffed at that! brakes...stock, diff....stock, engine...stock,...pfft. the list goes on....it was finished wen it was released in 1987, people have just since ****ed with it! i think u forgot to mention.. dave didnt do the expensive part! the kit an paint an engine cost him **** all, i should know i have the receipts! almost finished.. ha ha ha, tell me.. when do u know wen it finished!!!! ohh.. an please tell me wat a stock auto has to do with anythin(+ its not stock)?? incase u aint up to date, its goin manual anyways, so wat ur reason gonna be then? by the way, i think ive done a bit more than a bigger turbo an engine mods.. to the likes of stereo, diff, fuel management, ecu, fixed a million small problems, 4 spot hsv brakes waitin to go on, r33 gearbox bout to go in, an then yes, turbo, manifold, piping,wastegate....blah blah blah i got the car with - 155rwhp on 12psi i now have it at - 271rwhp on 15psi ... that is the major mod! ive spent more on this car in the last 6 months than anyone has put together! poohkies - wats a tacho hanging off the side got to do with rice?? i seen plenty of v8's with tachos on the side an ive seen plenty of rice burners wiv no tachos on the side! so wats ur case mate??? is it rice burners tryin to be rough? or tough bein rice? tachos on cars are a personal preference.. wtf ... i think ur jus tryin to be a smart ass, i think u shoulda just stuck wiv the first half or ur statement! JZU73 - i think i already answered why i have the 5' tacho.. incase u didnt notice.. i got it at a good price an i wasnt gonna pass it up.

Yeah mate i caught that bit, but that isn't an excuse for bolting it onto a nice car...You could have picked up a thing they call the "Gizmo" which is basically a shift light that you hook up to your original tacho and set it while driving and it goes off like yours would...Or even a bright LED kit from jaycar...The only thing i thought was weird is that you don't even look at the tacho you just wait for the light so you could ahve just bought the single shift light or installed a kit instead of having the tacho which you don't use. Roy..

man i still use it.. jus not racin... setin the shift light is way easier... the tacho in the dash goes up an down wen i plant it which ive been told has something to do with the memory in the wolf 3d... so i could neva really set one of those properly anyways. i like it an thats all that maters.. plus wats the resale of a second hand LED kit? wats the resale of my autometer 5' tacho??.. way it up, in the end its wat i want an i can sell it if i want!

If u can get more for the awsome price u should hook them up sequentually ie One for 1 One for 2 One for Drive And just to be different one for reverse. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

There is an adjustable kit you can buy from JayCar it consists of an LED a bunch of wires and a little button to set the light which you hide away behind you dash...The LED is a few cm across and is bit enough to see while driving, it hooks up and you can put it in your dash, A pillar on your rear view anywhere you can feed some wires to...There is always just the adjustable shift light that is basically the same as the one on a 5" that you can mount on your dash, steerin colum, a pillar wherever hey...I'm pretty sure jaycar has a website check it out...
