Would you also be able to chuck us your mobile numbr if you wouldnt mind? PM if need be! its a fake clean. I cleaned it up best i could, then painted it in alloy coloured engine paint. Even looking directly at it, u can't really tell its painted. it just looks clean. I used the XF tps. I have heard that some XF tps's are variable resistor. These will not work. The one i've got is basicly a on/off switch. It only tells you when its fully closed, or fully open. You will have to use a multimeter to work out which one u got.

First of all i have used the oringial VL tps and made up a little bracket that fits in between the the tb itself and the tps... Anyway.. just gonna get it dynoed and everything checked out again! Im actually doing this myself using a dremal tool and other tools to machine out the plenum itself! Now im still have tiny little issues such as it retacting back to normal idle! what it is is that i have found out that the xf tb spring is a real soft **** spring and it the accelerator is sooo touchy now and real soft! So im going to replace it with another spring (The oringal VL one maybe????) So that is that issue solved. Alright so i had another issu with RPm at 2000idle when we first got it back up! I thoughti hadnt blocked off somtheng but it later found out after putting the VN tubing on it that it was all sealed corectly! Next thing i did was fidddled with the screw on the XF tb and that made it go no lower then 1200!! I was pissed off at his time.. so much time on it! An it wasnt back to its normal 700rpm So then we fiddled aroudn with the so called invisible screw on the manifold and that could lower it down where it could almost stall.. (meaning you cant see it unles you stick your head right around near the back of the plenum!) So i was all good andd happy and i will see how it goes on the dyno and give you a percentage increase! So ill post it up on here! This wednesday! But yeah she didnt make much noticble difference which i wasnt too happy about but oh well! But shell be good for when it will be turbo again! So its all done and all hooked up as you can see in the photo! Anyone got any issues that i have experienced just PM me! Thanks for all those who helped out anyhow! P.S reaoson i didnt really notice a difference is maybe because settings will probably have to be reset, other little things, and it to be configured on the dyno back to a suitable setting! Anyway thanks, Brenton (BeeJay) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You will have issues... i recon for sure.. Youll have ot make sure you have amutlimeter at hand and read that it has 0ohms through the TPS.. otherwise if its not set tright.. it overfuels.. Youll have issues with the idle and making up a bracket to get the TPs sitting out far enough to get the right ohm measuremtn.. Dont worry youll see.. Just so you know.. it makes an apporximate 10% increase... for eg.. 80rwkws.. to about 88rwkws.. Quarter mile i did about 0.5 secs off the normal qurter mile when stock.. Oh and a approximately a 5mph increase which is better hten nothing.. Time takne is about 5hours all up doing it your self using a dremal tool So when somone says to you that it wont make jack ****.. tell em to get ****ed.. its dyno proven! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

There is nothing wrong with using the VL TPS. It just requires a bit more stuffing around. I used the XF TPS because it was already nicely bolted onto the throttlebody, it had the same connector plug as the VL one, and it operated exactly the same, except for some pins where changed around.

The XF Tb wasnt returning properly, so i put on another spring which i took from the VL tb and fitted it from where it touches the stop screw to the front bolt that holds the std xf throttle cable bracket. accelerator is a bit harder to press down now, but is still extremely responsive. Are auto gearshifts really affected by the Auto TPS??

When gears change would depend on how much pedal your giving it.
