The ecu dosn't get any feedback from the fuel pumps. It just tells the relay to switch whenever the CAS gives a trigger. If the pump sucks the slightest amount of air (if the hose in the jerry can wasn't fully submerged) my guess is it will stall. Have you tried it again making sure the hose is always sucking petrol? The injectors may need cleaning and the filter will definately need to be replaced. Clean ya tank out, replace the pump and all should be sweet.

the internal tank filter was complete ****ed ( it was solid with ****, wasn't broken so am hoping it hasn't let anything get though to the filter! Am stealing my misses tank, from her vl, i only recently put a new interal pump into it, and it's clean from when we did that! Hope it's the air thing then! thanks MonstaS4

I actually meant the in-line filter after the EFI pump - i'd be changing it too for the sake of $10-$20.

okies, Have found that my tank was fu(k (had washed it out but was full of ****) the internal pump was siezed! Have got another tank and it's spotless in side, have changed the internal pump and internal Filter **** do they both make alot of nosies, u can here the internal pump sucking inside the tank! I have Fuel pressure! at the injector, as soon as i loosened the clamp on injector 1 fuel starting pissing out! now i have double checked i have the fuel lines around the right way. Return line is on the Regulator! (put them both in a bucket and waited for fuel to come out of one of them I have checked that the injectors are getting power with an led! I have checked spark! after we did all that we still had the same problem! But this time we where getting any fuel through the exhuast, not like last time! As i have GTR injectors setting at home (i know the car wont run on them properly) but will the be enough just to get her to start? O here is the 2 different computers i have!

only the standard calais stuff! i made sure that they are all plugged in! But if that was the case, it wouldn't be getting either spark or fuel! I have put an led into the injector wire and it's definately getting signal! so looking at all those options, as well as it starts if i put fuel in the manifold! that it should be the injectors, the only other think i'm worried about is which computer i am supposed to be using!

You say you have checked for power at the injectors, but are they pulsing when you crank it over? A test light on the other terminal on the injector will show this. Like juzi said, injectors don't like to be sitting for much longer than a few weeks, but even if they were dirty, it should still fire. Dunno what ecu's they are....i've never seen them like that.
