Its great to see we have a lot of interest so far...it's looking to be an awesome day, I've checked the 28 day raincheck quite often and its saying that we should have a dry day, so hopefully the temps will be nice and we will have a good day... Now in regards to the route, I'm gonna do a dry run of the whole GOR hopefully this Sunday, and pick out some nice car spots we can stop at along the way, and put them into my GPS. I haven't done a GOR cruise yet with a large group, so some of you that went on the last one, where did you guys stop, how often etc... We will be going further on this cruise, as previously mentioned. The plan of attack is: 9am - Depart Albert Park 9.45 - Arrive Geelong, meet people there 10am - Depart Geelong 11.30 - Arrive Lorne, short break, photos etc and quick snack 11.50 - Depart Lorne 12.30 - Arrive Apollo Bay, 1 hour for lunch, photos etc (I need to find a place in Apollo Bay where we can all park, any suggestions) 1.30 - Depart Apollo Bay The next stretch will take us past the 12 apostles and some amazing coastline, so it will be slower driving. I'll find some decent car parks with lookouts on Sunday for us to stop at...again, suggestions from anyone that has been there would be greatly appreciated. We will plan to depart the 12 Apostle's area by around 4 at the latest, then head back to Geelong. Perhaps a quick stop in Lorne for toilet break, food etc, and plan to be in Geelong by around 6.30 - 7pm .... then dinner will be open for all, no idea yet where we can go, but we can work it out on the day...Smorgies on the pier perhaps!? Anyway, that's the plan so far, I'll start working on the map shortly, and will be down there Sunday to pick out some car parks... Please add any suggestions...
