If I had the money, and no wife, kids or mortgage...... I've always like that car. Anyone know if it's had the usual GENIII issues of high oil consumption or piston slap?

Hey i love it, but not for 35g, if u would take that over a caprice u have issues. You gotta understand what ur paying for, work it out... Say its just a plain na6 calais, $3000 Paintjob and bodywork and kit $7000-$8000 Rims $2500 Interior $7000 Engine, second hand ls1 $4000 Transmission $2000 Engine conversion parts like engine mounts, repgroammed chip (castle auto does all this kit), and starter motor remount, and wiring(loom) $2500 max exhaust $1500 diff $1500 say 3g on a stereo.... Hello, havent even hit 35g yet, and even if u did, how is it a bargain when u could just do it yourself for the same price or even save more $?

Mate, when your car makes Street Machine, then have ya say. I havent seen the likes of TTJET, ROOKIE or any others with prices in the 20k and up, for votes in SMOTY let alone Street Machine. And they have the audacity to put show car next to there 4 sales signs. BTW go build the car for less, however dosent mean you'll see the pages of Street Machine. Where as this car has.

cost to slam a gen 3 into a Vl would cost way more than 6500. try closer to 15000 with not much change if any at all unless he is a master of all trades then i doubt that all those prices you reckon are fair dinkom would cover labour? hmmmmm

it was all quick rough pricing but at the end of the day, its a finished project and u are selling it, u can never include labour, and as we all know u never make back your money on cars. 15g for a ls1 conversion??? please show me how u get that total?

Im not denying its had a lot of money spent on it. And true i havent done a full car yet, but at the same time im no cheque book racer either, i know what u want/need to buy, and i dont get how u get 15g for the conversion. I know someone who put an injected 5litre in a VH which is not a hell of a lot less than doing a gen3 and not including the motor and box it only cost $1200 ? Lot of u guys pay way too much for labour. Like i said go through the list of parts and prices and and prove me wrong if u can, otherwise tell me where u shop and ill put it down on my 'never to shop' list. Like i said engine 4g, box 2g max, computers $100 from a wrecker. And conversion parts are all priced here http://www.castleauto.com.au/efigen3c.htm If u cant do it for 10g somethings wrong.
