mmmm... i dont think u know how much $$$ is involved in this kind of thing.. it WAS only a small event for its type last yr an da year before... there was like 6-10 major sponsors.. an all the little/ local ones... now roger from garcias (carlinemufflers) donated $18 000 a yr for it.. an thats just them... imagine the rest!
1st one was pretty small compared to last year
i thought last year was pretty big i camped there and the whole back straight was always packed and then pit lane had hundreds of people
i suggest you guys read the link, even though i live closer to eastern creek than you guys i was planning a trip up this year for a holiday and to check this powercruise out.
I read the story on the street commodores forum last night and it is by far the organisers fault.....more to the fact, the owner of the track in QLD has gotten a bit greedy. It must cost a fortune in time and money to organise a thing like this, so my advice is to give credit where it is due...he is putting this event on for us, just in a different state for now....if anybody has $11M to buy a raceway in QLD then go right ahead.
Not trying to have a go at anybody, just wish people would check out the facts before typing their opinion. These guys have a dream to keep this thing running, no matter what obstacles are put infront of them and that is a value not found in many people nowadays.... keep up the good work boys....
