a vlt jatco will hook up to the 20's and 25's they can handle a fair amount of horsies, i put one on an rb20 last year. just get a jatco, then rebuild it, then strengthened, shift kit, and a big stall and you will run wikid times!

he wanted the jatco on there then he wanted the r32 box instead so took the jatco off and put the r32 box on there then in the end he got his jatco rebuilt and chucked that back into the vl

you say rb25's are gonna have bulk trashed out kays on them, what about rb30et's? THey came out in cop cars and a few vl/calais turbos, the majority of which have been put around poles and generally given a hard time. Not every jappo thrashes their car! A mate just bought a series 2 r33 skyline with 90,000 kays on the clock and its one of the cleanest cars ive been in, performs faultlessly... Its really up to you at the end of the day, id personally prefer the 25 because i really like the sound, and i like the twin cam. 25's are also easy to come across, as are 25 boxes. 25 boxes are also very strong... Also the range of aftermarket parts (bolt on) is MASSIVE for the rb25... good luck!

stock rb25 rods are apparently good for 300rwkw,any more and your dicing with death. i believe this is enough power for anyone so keep an open mind man. my mate and i am building similar set ups but i have the 30et and he has the 25det. they both have the same air and fuel systems so its gonna be good to see how they perform.but yeah his motor looks unreal!

yea but half of them have been drifted along the mountain side plus if you get a "half cut" it obviously means it has been written off otherwise they wouldnt cut it in half, so the driver must have either a: been a **** driver, or b been thrashing it and lost control.

if you read it properly mr craig david i was comparing it to a built donk rather than a second hand rb30et!!!! Of course a second hand rb30et is going ot be thrashed!! Hench its best to start fresh, and dan asked the question of comparing it to a 25 to a freshly built 30

theyr both going to be tired engine but i would be able to work on the rb30 as buying the engine will be much cheaper than the RB25. if i could find a RB25 that didnt need work or much owrk then i may swing more that way. but im not going to jump in and wait for a sign from the VLturbo gods to then ill know what i want to do hahahaha
