video video damnit !!! hehee
damn shame to see stuff like this happen to a nice car (even if it is a rotor ).
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

you might find that with 3 turbos they dont need wastegates if the rear housings are selected carefully enough
in the first pic that v8 eta posted you can see one pretty large wastegate under the exhausts, no idea if there are more.
just curious, anyone know if that was the first pass that they had with the triple setup?

I doubt it was the first but it was a new engine set-up he is using, or was. It was a 20B periphal port tripple rotor tripple turbo combo. Bit of a mouthful. Think he might put the old motor back into his blue rx7 and race that one at Jamboree

as airbaged vlt wagon said he spun out and hit the wall...maybe with that extra turbo, got 2 much boost and made to much wheel spin....by the time he has hit 1/2 track he is going pretty fast and when ur wheel spinning u got no chance of controlling it
there is some chassis damage and the car wont be repaired for jambo this weekend, and the car does run hks wastegates, thats what you can see next to the exhaust...
must of made some mega power with the peripheral port tripple turbo. yum!
That car would be very hard to drive and control. I think he ran 6.99 pass with the twin turbo setup?
The extra flow from the turbo would definately contribute to drivability problems and traction issues. Even though the tyres are fat as - driving it straight would be a huge problem with all the power when it comes on boost in latter gears. Also dont rule out that there might have been some debris on the track, such as radiator fluid, oils or chunks of rubber that could have contributed to a loss of traction. Tyre temps play a critical role in sub 12 sec passses and contribute largely to safety for RWD cars.
That car would be fixed in no time - its too good to stop and throw away. Probably cost a bomb to fix - but then again thats racing - im sure they would have a back up plan just incase they did stack it.
A blow to the team, you would probably see the running even quicker now with a better chassis - more tubbing and better choice of rubber. Ide expect under 6.5 seconds.
nah he didnt run the 6.99 that was archie and the mazfix team with the chev beretta! joe and rotormasters team has a pb of 7.33 and that was with the twin turbo setup im pretty sure...archie and the mazfix team ran thre 6.99 but they are triple turbo
Yer he would have that fixed in no time dosnet he also own a Blue Rx7 20B that he races.
looks to be most the shell damage wat speed was he going at any 1 know?
is he ok aswell.
