You also need to harden the valve seats in the head as LPG is very dry, it dosen't contain the lubricants that petrol does. Tuning makes a huge difference as well as the LPG hardware you use, if you install a TAXI LPG setup then don't expect too much from it.

so u could actually gain power from getting the gas conversion? so it would cost say 2500 for 1 throttle body, can u get twin throttle body? if so how much would it cost to get the full conversion, tune, and compression put higher?

dude, I already posted the price, it's around the $3,500 mark for twin throttle bodies with a full conversion and dyno tune. To increase your compression you need to disassemble your engine and change your pistons or just shave your head depending on how high you want to go, but this is only really for the n/a's as you don't want too much compression with forced induction or BOOM!!!!!

I would say that Paul payed more for his conversion as it is quite customised, everything is hidden out of sight and it is a very clean install indeed, credit to the installer!

To me it all depends on how fast you want to go. I can't see you running low 9's on gas. But easy 10's

But easy 10's yeah, but how many 10 sec "street" cars are out there that would actually pass an EPA check or even pass a Roadworthy? and as you would know there is a hell of a difference between an easy 10 sec car and a low 9 sec car, more boost, more fuel and even some laughing gas to boot! there is no reason why you couldn't run 9's with LPG given more mods.

hehe thats the beauty of GAS. You dont need managment as there are no injectors etc. I am using a Haltech IG5 ignition only computer and a Motec CDI ignition upgrade.

you dont need to use a twin throttle body setup when you are forcing through air. The only reason you need to use twin setup is in the case of a large cubic capacity naturaly aspirated motor which can only suck air in, so it needs as much air to get in as possible, hence the twin throttle bodies. A single, 440 cfm throttle body is more than enough for a turbo application. Im using the factory computer with a gas research throttle body on my car. Drives like a dream Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have twin B2 convertors, a 425 Impco carby (a second one might be needed) and a bored XF throttle body, which flows a heap more than 440cfm.

Drives like a dream Hey busted, can you elaborate on your set-up please? I'm sure afew people would be interested in exactly what your using. So, 440cfm GRA throttle body? Single converter? And what boost/rwkw are you running? Standard ignition system? Thanks, Sigmund. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
