hey guys... i was looking at this a few weeks ago and also came to the conclusion of WTF!!, they are way to friggin expensive for what they are, i ended up getting some Japenese H4 Xenon globes that work on the same wattage as our globes in stock VL's and they are like just as affective, brighter, white as white and i also got ones with a blue neon look to them aswell, they look friggin great, i just came on here to find out what code highbeam globes where and i found it - H1 so now i can have my high beams looking smick aswell, im done and ill catch you all later

Allthough you might be able to get away with H1's but they will petrude higher.

Well with Vl lights being really (rap , and me doing a lot of nightshift where i drive 50km each way in the dark through Kangaroo infested country, it could be a very worthwile mod if its going to save me writing my car off or flattening my cooler or similar. Different mods appeal to different people , where i would never spend money on bodykits or harlequin paint, i may consider better lights, all comes down to individuals and what our requirements are of our cars.

Let's say that I want to install the Xenons. Actually first of all, who will install them? Secondly, how will they react in the VL headlight lens case? Will they get too hot and cause problems?

GMH 30L ... i know of a place that sells like 3+ different aftermarket xenon or more correctly called 'HID' kits.... these are ****in good kits, (ie identical to latest model Bmws) they start around $700 or so... and go up depending wat brand u go... top ones around $1500... they fit all cars, headlight lenses can easily take it...they will get ***n hot, but its not hot enough to actually melt / damage the plastic unless u install them wrong... PM for more details...

as for standard bulbs i do believe the philips 5300k (diamond / blue?) are the best avaliable, but yea they are a touch expensive..

why the hell would anyone pay that much for xenon lights?! New genuine Holden lights with good quality bulbs are more than good enough!

i'm spending about 8,000 on a paint job for a car i paid 4,000 for so i would definatley spend 1500 on lights cause they look awsome, i'm planning on spending about 20,000 altogether doing up my car and making it a show car, but one i can still drive around
