if you cut your springs- pm me your address so when you take out a tree I can send your family a condolences card.
if your not happy with the lowest spring out- get them compressed properly by a tyre / suspension joint
:P
ive had cut springs on the rear end of my vl for the last 2 yrs.. no probs at all..
springs only fell out as ive jacked the car up off the floor.
the ride height: guard sits along the top of a 15" rim.. which is bloody low...
its never fallen out round corners or over bumps...
if u drive like a d!kH3Ad.. then no Sh!t it'd fall out
the only problem i found was hitting corners at quicker speeds in wet"ish conditions as the ass end tends 2 swing out a bit more..specially if theres a bump round a corner.. due to the fact that the spring isnt absorbing the impact... but then again... GO SIK IN D WET ..... WOPPPP BOPPPPP BOPPPPP
Can we just make this sticky, I'm sick of hearing about chopped springs, they are bull****, don't be a cheap mofo and buy some real springs.. My mates got a gemini, and the ass is so dodgy, its a mint car, but it handles like **** because of chopped springs.. meanwhile a mates got proper lowered springs - looks the same height, and handles alot better.
Alot of people also go out and put lowered springs in and dont change there shocks to shortned versions, therefore the springs are not captive and will fall out when jacked up.
