haha belt came off again on the way home racing an atmo dunger VL (managed to beat him really easily to 120 before the belt ramped off, it was a 5 speed too) so moral of the story is, it's now down to TWO ribs (where there should be 5) and if i take it above 4000rpm it comes straight off. only sees 1 pound with all the belt slip. i think i may need a new belt. luke, if you read this, is there any chance you could do me a little bit of latheing next week some time? it's for the blower pulley, i need to machine another groove into it. best way to do it i think would be to make up a cutting template from high-speed steel and then plunge it in on the lathe. can you do that kind of stuff at your work? it's probably about 10 minutes work, but it means my car will be seeing full boost by next saturday...... it's the best fix for the belt problem that i have so far.

Stop your whinging and just go buy a new belt for tomorrow night!

if luke can do me this machine job next week, i'll have a 6-rib non-slipping belt drive for next saturday, and i will make a big effort to come down and smoke some ricer ass
