my mate got his to around 240ish(guessing cause it was near the "0")in 5th and still had more go left in it...it had no speed limiter that he found although there is fuel cut out at around 5700 i think in his car...will never find out if it went faster cause its written off now not due to his driving though...my auto has done bout 200 in 3rd when my auto transmission computer was screwed and i had no 4th...will have to give it another go somewhere to find out my top speed.

Depends on the road too. Also weight and wind I guess.

it was very close to it cause there were 3 cars there...i was in my civic,my other mate in his accord and the vl...my civic topped out 180ish,accord topped 195,vl had taken off like a bloody rocket once we topped so is realistic and he confirmed it...the vl was a n/a 5 speed SL with exhaust and computer was chipped...no internal mods that we knew of...the car lasted 5 weeks and some old fijian guy rear ended him in a tarago and wrote his car off 4 him...tarago came off fine though.

i hit 180 in my stock NA auto, easily. It handled like a bag of ****. i then modified it with cam, ecu, extractors and zorst and i reckon it would have done 200 without a drama. My vlt's go off the clock.... not that i'd ever do that....

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nah man, there is a prob with my Drive gear it only does 50ks in first (which is at 3500rpm.) so one day i thought I'll see what she can really rev out to if i put in manual 1st gear and i got it to 90ks (5500rpm) and 130-140 (5500rpm) in manual secon through the gears and just clicked it into drive after that. Then the quater mile ended, have never been game enough to gone any quicker So i don't know what top speed i could do? Anyone think they can guess what it could do?

I know this thread sounds bad so ill add my ten cents ive got to 190km/h in my auto vl calais. you keep it with the power button on till third completly revs out then click it off so it engages overdrive. *once third is maxxed you wont get much more speed outta fourth the ratio is too low drive safe though everybody i dont wanna see anymore ppl gettin there lives in danger on the news or anymore sick commodores cut in half and on the back of a tow truck

I have done 200km/h and it was off the clock in my VL on the freeway from Sydney to Newcastle, when it was an auto N/A! Took a while to get there and sh!t it was scary, felt like any bump or wrong move the car would have just lost it so easily, so I dont think I will be doing that ever ever again!! From 100-160km/h is fairly quick but from then it just goes up fairly gradually, just pushes and pushes, prob got around 5700rpm or so, cant remember, wasnt really looking at the dash either i was too freaked to take my eyes off the road, was just hanging on tight to the wheel. Cut our trip down by about 5 mins easily though LOL (hardly worth it is it!) Had to do it just once though.

I could be first to give you some curry here jazza, but I'll let somebody creative come up with something to do with 200km/h and your old wing.
